Centrally located in the heart of Michigan, this cabin is a great jumping off location for seeing the sights in the UP or the big city of Detroit. Located halfway between Gladwin & Beaverton, you’re less than 10 minutes from everything each town has to offer. Whether you are planning a romantic weekend or needing a place to stay for a local event, our cabin offers the perfect lodging solution in a serene location, perfect for recharging and reconnecting with nature. Relax on the covered deck with a cup of coffee and feel your cares melt away.
Internet/WIFI, AC, Washer & Dryer, Full Kitchen, Covered Deck, Fire Pit, Charcoal Grill, River Access for fishing, swimming or kayaking.

*While guests are welcome to enjoy water activities such as swimming, kayaking and other recreational use of water, please note that life preservers and flotation devices are NOT provided. This was an awesome spot for a temporary employee that needed to live somewhere for four months. The owner was totally accommodating, and everything was as depicted in the description. It's a great place for fishermen or kayakers. I've used VRBO for many trips, and this was the best experience so far! Lori Robb

Immaculate two bedroom cabin in the woods. Beautifully decorated. The stream and woods in the back yard provide a very relaxing experience. Even caught a few small fish! It’s just a really nice cabin in the woods.
Relaxing views from the back porch!
Enjoyed some time around the fire pit.

From our initial booking throughout our entire stay, everything was perfect! The 2-bedroom, 1 bath cabin is beautiful, spacious, clean, well furnished, and well maintained. The property is surrounded by tall pine trees and offers an amazing view of the Cedar River from the back porch. There are also well constructed steps that lead all the way down to the river. The comfortable living room furniture, large Smart TV, fast Internet made it possible for us to log into our streaming services so that we could enjoy our usual TV viewing, even while staying away from home. The kitchen appliances are all new and amazing. We were also impressed by a few special touches, such as sharing cookies upon our arrival. The cabin, surrounding woods and gracious hosts exceeded our expectations.

I grew up just down river from the cabin and spent many hours in my youth fishing and swimming in the river. My wife grew up just up the road a piece in Gladwin. Work took us away and we have lived near Tulsa OK for over 30 years now. We spend about 4 weeks a year here in our happy place and are happy to share it with you!

This cabin sits right on the beautiful Cedar River and there is a beautiful view of the river from the covered porch. There are stairs to access the river for fishing, swimming or kayaking. The river is relatively shallow with a sandy bottom in front of the cabin. We do recommend wearing water shoes while in the river. River use is at your own risk.
