Escape to this quiet, cozy 1 bedroom cottage in Conroe. With a full bed in the master bedroom and 2 twins in the loft-a fun spot for the kids—our place is comfy for a single, a couple or family. Enjoy the convenience of WiFi, heating, AC, a hair dryer, a clothes steamer, full size appliances, patio, grill, hammock and the privacy and beauty of a lot lined with mature oak trees. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just off of the loop in Conroe you will have easy access to downtown Conroe, I-45, Lake Conroe, the Lone Star Covention Center, and Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Our bathroom features a large shower with amenities provided. View or feed the free range chickens across the fence from the patio. Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your holiday or vacation one to remember.

This was a beautiful, quiet place to stay. The interior is modern with all the amenities you could ask for. It is on a large plot of land and far enough from the main roads that it is very peaceful. I highly recommend for families with small children. Outdoor spaces are great.

John is a retired United States Air Force chaplain, minister, and marriage and family therapist, currently leading a nonprofit counseling ministry, where both he and Terri work. Terri has been a homeschooling mother of five kids, as well as a pastor and chaplain’s wife.

The Refuge @ Vanderosa has a wonderful story that spans many years and is described in more detail on our website at Vanderosa.com and inside The Refuge, in the guest book.

We believe every human being is made in the Image of God and is worthy of honor and respect because of that fact. We believe hospitality is one way we can demonstrate that to our guests.

It is an answer to prayer and is a place of peace and tranquility. It is also used for doing Marriage Intensives with couples in crisis, through a partnership with Restoration Counseling Ministries.
