Welcome to Hudson Homestead. Not just a house, but an experience! Live your farm dreams in the city on this private, peaceful 1.5 acre oasis w/NO PET RESTRICTIONS. Wake up to collect fresh eggs for breakfast from our coop and make a drink with a fully stocked coffee/tea/juice bar, drink it while rocking on the porch. Bring your pets & take a hike on the trails or head to Falls Lake for family fun. Finish your day relaxing by the firepit, grilling on the patio or taking a dip in the hot tub.

You will find a plethora of well though out amenities in our gorgeous wooded property. Watch the sun set through the trees as you sip a drink on the porch rockers, or the hot tub, or hammock or garden swing. So many areas to enjoy!

Vacations should be about relaxing, not chores. You won't have a to-do list and a million rules.

We believe in hosting your WHOLE family. Baby portable crib and high chair on site. NO PET RESTRICTIONS, bring your dog, cat, bird, gecko, goat, horse, cow etc. (for any animal other than dog or cat, contact Host first for approval and accommodations. Only domestic animals allowed inside, no aggressive animals). The pet fee is more of a deposit to cover additional cleaning, we will gladly refund your pet fee if the home is left looking like no pets were there.

Indoor:

First floor primary Queen suite with private bathroom. Second floor primary Queen suite with private bathroom. Bedroom with twin over full bunk bed. 3rd floor loft with twin & full bed.

-Need to answer emails or play your videogames?
We have a dedicated office space in the loft and ultra high speed wireless internet on every floor you can also wire to.
-No need to skip your workout, enjoy our gym room equipped with a weights machine, treadmill and yoga mat/accessories.
-If your clothes get dirty from all the adventuring, freshen 'em up in our laundry area (washer & dryer with detergent & softener provided).
-No need to eat out with our fully stocked kitchen: blender, sandwich maker, waffle maker, Instapot, air fryer, egg cooker, all utensils, pots/pans, dinner sets, mugs, and more. Even our furry guests can eat from our raised pet bowls!
-Skip the Starbucks and start your mornings with some freshly brewed coffee, espresso or fresh-squeezed fruit juice using our fully loaded bar. Or try your hand at a delicious pour-over coffee with our electric kettle and pour over set. Ground coffee, Nespresso pods, tea and flavored syrups ALL INCLUDED.
-Mix your own cocktails from the comfort of the home with our Bar cart stocked with drinking glasses, cocktail mixing set, and wine holders. (no alcohol provided by Host)
- Then enjoy your drinks by the warmth of our traditional brick wood-burning fireplace!
-Want to stay in? We've got lots of indoor fun with a karaoke machine, toddler/kids toys, board games & books. Also a TV with Roku and included Netflix, Hulu & Disney+, 1000 different LG & Roku Live TV channels and an antenna with 44 local channels.

*On the stair walls you will notice an optional hookup for a baby/pet gate, the gate will be in the 3rd floor closet if you'd like to install it during your stay for added safety.


Outdoor:

-True relaxation starts at our brand new 2025 DayDream hot tub and backyard oasis.
-Bring your hotdogs and marshmallows to our stone fire pit with adirondack chairs.
-Enjoy your meal or drink to the sound of nature and glow of fireflies on our large front porch with rocking chairs and bistro table.
-Have a BBQ in our back deck hangout area with couches, propane grill, dining set, picnic table, patio umbrellas, & zero gravity chairs.
-There is a fishing kayak onsite that you can take to Neuse River or Falls Lake (if you can properly transport it).

Want to REALLY enjoy the full outdoor experience? We have a tent in the 3rd floor closet if you want to sleep under the stars in our forest.

Have your perfect photo op or take a walk through history, our back yard backs up to the historic CSX railway! Get the amazing experience of watching a train go by (usually once a day or less)

Last but not least, enjoy farm fresh eggs and the true homestead experience with our chicken coop & run, grain is available onsite for you to hand feed them if you wish. The chicken experience is completely OPTIONAL. They have endless water supply, their own large fenced in area, coop and run, if your pets have a prey drive please let us know so we can turn off their auto door and leave them in their run. Aggressive animals are not permitted on the property. Hosts will tend to the chickens to replace feed every 5 days for long stays unless guests opt to do it. For stays longer than 15 days, Hosts will come on property mid stay to clean out the coop and offer a FREE mid-stay clean.

*Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, depending on occupancy and cleaning schedule.

*"With great freedom comes great responsibility." Due to the many activities we offer and the nature of this unique property, there are inherent risks associated. Guests assume all responsibility for their actions and agree to use amenities responsibly and never under the influence of any substance. Guests agree to exercise caution while roaming the wooded property and uneven terrain with roots, plants and trees. Hosts are not responsible for any injuries or other harm that may occur on the property. By booking this property, Guests assume this responsibility and agree to the aforementioned.

*If you are staying longer than 5 nights and would like additional cleaning service, please notify your Host, an additional cleaning fee will apply for each service requested. For stays longer than 15 days, one complimentary clean is provided mid-stay!

*The property backs up to the CSX railway therefore you can expect to hear a train go by typically once a day or less. No discounts or refunds will be issued due to the train as it is stated in the listing.

*There are 3 outdoor cameras that overlook the chicken coop, the garden, and the front gate, this is for the safety of our guests, plants and animals. No cameras on the porches or within 10ft of the home for optimal Guest privacy and enjoyment.

*Although we allow events, the Hudson Homestead is NOT an event venue and will not be responsible for setup, takedown or providing any additional furniture or decor for events. The event fees ($150 for less than 15 guests, $300 for less than 30 guests) simply cover additional wear and tear on the property and resources.
Disruptive events are strictly prohibited, the following are grounds for immediate termination of your stay with no refund:
- Unapproved events (contact the Host if you plan on having ANY guests other than the amount stated in your booking)
- Disruptive or violent conduct (yelling, physical altercation, excessive horseplay, etc.)
- Discharging firearms
- Loud music past 10pm
- Open invitation or entry-fee events (events with no predetermined guest list that are open to anyone and/or charge an entry fee)
- Illegal substance use
- Deliberate tampering or disabling of the security system
- Using or lighting fires in unapproved areas
- Generally, anything that would typically result in being removed from a hotel. Please respect the land, the animals and the neighbors.

-This is a wooded lot with a bustling ecosystem and there is a reasonable expectation of wildlife on the property. The inside of the home and the porches are sprayed for pests bi-weekly and are typically clear, however, the rest of the yard uses only natural repellents. This is to protect pollinators and keep our chickens (who feast on the bugs) and their eggs free of any toxins. We treasure and respect the natural life on the property and ask you do the same. If an additional spraying is needed inside the home please advise. No refunds or credits will be offered due to naturally occurring creatures.
