Nice place to stay in NYC area

This home is spacious and has a nice outdoor patio. Great location for visits to Northern NJ or Rockland County area. Large kitchen with all the tools for preparing a meal. Definitely a good bet for a family gathering.

Family Gathering at West Point Acade

This spacious home provided plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for six adults to meet for several days together. We had choices of places both inside and outside on the screened-in porch or patio to gather together. The dining room was a great place to play games. The kitchen was nicely remodeled and provided a comfortable space for us all. The owner was very helpful and I highly recommend this property for a family get together.

So many options and the property is beautiful

There were so many options for dining - gather in the kitchen while breakfast is cooking, dine in one of two sunrooms or gather in the formal dining area. It was nice to switch up our meals to change the conversation. The yard is huge and enclosed for small children. Loved the large trees and the variations of color. Joanne was fabulous - on top of our stay and at always willing to help out.

Beautiful cozy home

Most Charming

Joanne and Dave's beautiful home was the centerpiece of our enchanted mid-October getaway. Their very warm, well-appointed home now stands as the favorite rental our small family/friends travel group has experienced in our many years of annual long-weekend trips. Joanne was a pleasure to engage with and she made us feel like welcomed family members. Wish the rating system had more than five stars to assign!

A safe spot to land

Joanne opened her home to our family when we needed to travel for a funeral- despite originally not planning to list the home that day. From our first contact, she was helpful, kind and so gracious. The picture made of the home do not do the house justice- it truly is a work of art…. While still being homey and welcoming. We cannot thank Joanne enough!

Charming and roomy

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property in Pearl River. The house is perfect for a family as it is roomy with plenty of entertaining spaces inside and out. The house is well equipped and the owner is very responsive. All in all, a great one of a kind place!

Charming Farmhouse

WOW! This is such a charming place! We felt like we were home! There was so much room and so many quaint spots to find your own little space. We were greeted by deer and an adorable woodchuck! The outside area was a magical experience! Our hosts were very accommodating! We would definitely return!

Wedding HQ

The DeGregory's beautiful home was our HQ for our son's wedding. This house was perfect in every way from the welcome trays in every room, welcome basket with items that we may have forgotten..shampoo, insect repellant, hand lotion, etc to milk and filtered cold water in the refrigerator. The kitchen (and the entire house really) had everything a wedding party would need. The rooms were spacious and each room had an abundance of amenities - towels, blankets, pillows. Having a train station and grocery store in close proximity to the house was a welcome bonus. Ths house was also very conveniently location for easy access to all venues involved in NYC and NJ. We are so glad to have found this gem to make us comfortable during the 10 hectics days. JoAnne and Dave, thank you so very much for your hospitality and letting us share in your absolutely beautiful home.

Unbelievably charming and beautiful!

We stayed here for my son’s graduation from West Point. It was such a wonderful respite from the whirlwind that is West Point. Coming back here and relaxing after such an Intense experience was just the thing! Each room was beautifully decorated and welcoming. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Clean towels, cozy beds and beautiful views from each room just added to the outstanding experience. We spent a lot of time sitting outside in the lovely backyard. Also, my oldest daughter came in from Manhattan by train which was super close. We highly recommend this house if you want to be close to NYC but also feel like you are in your own world! The owners were kind and helpful. Outstanding people and a wonderful place!

Wonderful!

We were in the area for a family reunion and this house was perfect! Joanne was a terrific host paying attention to every detail; she allowed us early entry, made sure we coffee addicts had the right pot, is mailing us forgotten items, etc. etc. etc. The house is cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated; the family clearly lives there when it's not rented out, so it's well stocked with kitchen essentials. There are board games and puzzles for old and young which we took full advantage of; we had 4 young children with us and there was plenty of space inside and out for them to play (and toys as well -- the marble roll was a big hit). There are many different rooms to gather in for small chats or large groups. We highly recommend this charming home.

Beautiful home away from home

Thank you Joanne for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. I can’t fault this house. Large clean kitchen with everything you need. Even coffee and cream on arrival. There was a welcome basket which had everything you need from shampoo to insect repellent. Cleanliness is important to us and everything was so clean, from the kitchen to the bathrooms, bedrooms and laundry room. The TV was great for the young adults and then the living room was so comfortable for the adults to have their separate area to chat. The dining was beautiful furnished. The bedrooms had a basket with everything you need for example.. hairdryers. The beds were also very comfortable and each room had nice big fluffy towels. The house has a beautiful outside eating area with BBQ. We did not use it but just loved sitting outside with plenty of area for young children to play. The back yard was so picturesque and peaceful. Any questions, Joanne was so quick to respond. Thank you again Joanne, if we come back to the States I would love to stay there again.
