Property was beautiful with unique retro-modern design details. Room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with amenities. The restaurant, lobby and bar on the premises each have a nice ambiance. The restaurant was expensive but delicious. Unfortunately, the surrounding neighborhood was sketchy and we did not feel safe. Although the property description was accurate, the description of the location and immediate area was highly misleading. It is NOT family friendly! We were concerned about parking the car on the street. There is a high concentration of unhoused individuals in this area and drug paraphernalia was scattered on side walks near the property. The hotel is located on a busy and noisy road which disturbed our sleep as did screaming from individuals and police sirens in the middle of the night. People not familiar with Portland or this neighborhood should be aware of these elements prior to booking.
