Cozy little home, less than a mile from hunter mountain. Group of 8 stayed there. All adults. Communication with the owner was excellent, she was very accommodating which we appreciated. Seems that the property though is managed by a company, not sure what they do, other than collect the payment as the driveway and walks, etc. could have been shoveled better. The home is cozy and has a lot of character. Relatively clean. No dishwasher in kitchen, but has washer and dryer. Kitchen is a decent size but lacks counter space. Kitchen table has room for 8 but kitchen becomes tight when table is pushed out from wall and in use. Kitchen has everything you need (pots, pans, coffeemaker, etc.). A few little quirks to note so you can plan. Hot water heater must be small as it goes through water quick, so plan your showers accordingly. there are not a lot of outlets in the house (exactly one in the queen bedroom which was old and plug barely stayed in the outlet). Charging multiple electronics, running hair dryers, and dryers for ski boots can be an issue. Would have been nice to have a propane grill, charcoal ones available, but we didn't use since we didn't want to wait for the grill to heat up. Kitchen has been updated, new floor, new appliances, etc., bathrooms although functional could use a fresh look. Plan on packing out your trash/recyclables or pay a small fee to have them disposed of after you leave. we took ours with it. Personally I would just roll the garbage fee into the rent and not have the guests deal with it.
Great deck out back and large front porch. We would stay there again in the winter, and are thinking about using it during the summer for some of the festivals, but we now know what to expect.
