Best property

We have stayed in close to a 100 vacation rentals over the last 2 decades and this was easily in the top 3 properties. The photos don’t do it justice.Right from the beginning the communications with the owner were prompt and full of details and info. Communication was easy before, during and after the trip. All questions were prompt and quickly addressed. The property itself is gorgeous - huge, elegantly decorated rooms and bathrooms akin to a villa in Europe. There was a tv in each bedroom in addition to the family room. The outside likewise is huge with beautiful views and a gorgeous pool. The views both front and back are fantastic and plenty of things to do that the owner has provided. The garden is beautiful and large too. The owner graciously let us use the hot tub even tho it was over New Years and not pool weather. Similarly there are wood burning fireplaces if you want. The owner voluntarily told us when the house was cleaned ahead of schedule that we could arrive early. And on departure we were allowed to do a late checkout without any problems. The linens and kitchen stuff were more than adequate and the appliances are top of the line. However the best part for me were the cute chickens that I grew attached to. In return for feeding them every day they rewarded us with plenty of fresh eggs during our stay. That was the icing on the cake :)

Sun rises and sun sets

You can see them both! A lovely house - plenty of room - plenty of kitchen stuff to make a full Thanksgiving dinner. We loved it. Great for dogs who are good with chickens as there is a fenced in part of the yard. The double beds in the bunk room and the office are really for younger people. All the other beds were very comfortable. Excellent for family gatherings.

Perfect vacation rental

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The house, gardens, chickens and wildlife were amazing! We all appreciated the extra touches and Welcome Basket that made us feel at home immediately and of course the lovely ‘welcome sign’ at the front door! This was our 1st trip to San Diego for several of us and it was the PERFECT antidote to some very difficult weather in the UK. We enjoyed seeing the Anza- Borrego desert state park and the wind caves as well. We went to the beach almost every day. We visited Julian for wine tasting. It was always a pleasure to get back to the house for the pool and hot tub!! The chickens have been well cared for and rewarded us with many eggs. With many thanks and best wishes.

Canyon View Villa

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this lovely property. Beautiful salt water pool and hot tub and lots of games and activities. We played pickle ball, ping pong, and shuffle board. Our kids loved taking care of the chickens! Everything you might need for cooking is in the well stocked pantry and kitchen. Beds were great and plenty of room for all. Thank you Kathy and Kenyon for sharing your lovely home with us!

Home away from Home

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! As soon as you walk in you feel at home. The home is very clean and well taken care of. The homeowners were sweet to have a goodie basket waiting for us which included dog treats and a bottle of wine. The backyard has an amazing view and very peaceful and quiet. The chickens were an added perk and was entertaining to feed them and collect the daily eggs. The home is full of entertainment to keep you busy including games for outside as well as inside. We will definitely be going back!

Was the perfect home to house 4 families for the holidays. So easy to work with Kathy and Kenyon, extremely responsive should you need anything. Truly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back!

Perfect Holiday

We came out for a family Christmas gathering. We had 2 from Philly, 4 from Chicago and 2 local from San Diego. The house was beautiful! The outdoor setting was breathtaking! The house offered so many amenities and perks. The outdoor living area was our favorite room in the house. We gathered there every evening for eating, sporting event on the big screen or just quiet conversation after the kids went to bed.A nice cozy fireplace and warm blankets were most welcome. The owners decorated the house for the holiday ( inside and outside). They had a Christmas tree ready for us to decorate and provided the ornaments. The. Kids were really excited to do that. Chickens! …….The cutest silky chickens. The owners asked if we would be interested in feeding the chickens and retrieve the egg. My grandchildren were absolutely enthralled with the thought. I can still hear one of them saying ,girls girls girls we have treats for you.” So much fun. I mentioned perks …we were able to use the eggs we retrieved for a delicious breakfast . Dealing with the owners of this property was such a pleasure. They were so helpful and gracious. Always available to answer any question we had. Provided a book with information for just about anything you could think of. We immediately got the impression that they loved this house and it showed with all the extra touches, in every room in the house. In that short time we were there we learned to love it too. Thanks to the owners !!!

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

I have stayed at this property before but 1st time in this unit. This was the 1st time I had an issue with check in through the security office and it took me about 30 minutes to get into the condo. Description accurate except the pictures showed the 2nd bedroom with 2 beds and it actually has a bed with a trundle.

Great Place

The condo was clean and modern. The owner went above and beyond. I make a lot of ice tea and thought there was an ice maker, the owner went as far as buying me a bag of ice! We'll stay there again when in Oceanside.

Great location and owners

The owners were very responsive with questions and suggestions. The location can’t be beat, sit on the porch and watch the ocean and beach! Large pool and gym which were and extra bonus.

Such a great Beach Getaway!

We decided to spend our Thanksgiving weekend with family at the beach this year. This unit was clean and is located in one of the best areas of the North Coast complex! All amenities you could want from an air fryer to a fully stocked kitchen with spices. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels for all for the beach or pool. Communication with owner was great and I appreciated her checking in with us to make sure our check-in went smoothly. They put a lot of effort into their place and it shows. We will be back in the future!

Great location at NCV

Easy access to ocean beach. Nicely furnished. Owners very responsive. Well stocked with everything you need for the beach and the bikes were great.

After a trip of a lifetime to Kenya Africa on a safari with our best friends, we come home to the news that our entire home was destroyed by the October 2007 wildfires that ravaged the San Diego area. In utter shock and disbelief, we made the drive from lax to San Diego in silence and tears! That was our sad story then but 3 years later with the help, support, and love of family, friends, contractors, and our designers at sense of style interiors they have assisted in creating our family’s dream home! Elements of Feng shui were incorporated, when possible, in the selection of materials, finishes and furnishings. The ancient methods of Chinese philosophical design have brought good energy and chi into our home.
According to Greek and Egyptian mythology, the phoenix bird is a resurrected creature that is created out of its own ashes, to be born again with a new spirit and life. This is how we see our home!!
