Karen was a wonderful host. The few times I contacted her, she replied promptly and was always helpful.I honestly cannot think of a better place to stay in Culebra than this apartment. The property is beautiful and offers a stunning view of the bay, which made our stay even more special.Culebra itself is something else. The people are incredibly friendly, and the island feels very safe—something that, unfortunately, I can’t always say about the rest of Puerto Rico. I have visited many islands throughout the Caribbean, and Culebra is by far my favorite. During our stay we visited seven different beaches, and every single one of them exceeded our expectations. The food on the island is also amazing.The apartment is very well equipped with thoughtful amenities. Some of the things I particularly appreciated were a nugget ice machine, a mosquito control lamp, and insect repellent. That said, mosquitoes are simply part of being near the beach anywhere in the Caribbean if you spend time outdoors. The host has clearly made every effort to minimize this issue.The air conditioner works extremely well and kept the apartment very comfortable.One important thing to note is that you will need to rent a car or a golf cart if you stay here, as the property is about three miles from downtown. Shared taxis tend to charge around 40 per trip, so having your own transportation is definitely the best option.Overall, this was an excellent stay, and I would happily return.
