This house had mixed reviews for our family. Given the property is on the water and that it is on DeBordieu, for the price it really needs to have some work done to it. First the positives: great location on the island, beautiful views from the family room, very nice layout, house has some very good bones so to speak so structurally and geographically its great! The bedrooms were a nice size, water pressure was good, very convenient to the beach. And the beach was excellent.
However with that said, the home needs a lot of work and a lot of basic general clean up. First it needs a really good cleaning and lot of basic restoration. There are a lot of cobwebs in the vaulted ceiling, there were a lot of dead bugs in the floor when we arrived that we had to clean up, several of the windows and doors won't close so bugs come in at night, the underneath parking area was a mess and we had to straighten that up in order to park and the furniture, particularly in the family room was dirty and needs to be replaced. We had to get sheets to put over the sofa, love seat and chairs. Also the chairs at the small round table in the family room are very worn.
From a repair stand point, the refrigerator leaked water down the front constantly and the shelving both in the refrigerator and on the refrigerator doors are broken making storage tough. The toilet seat in the 1/2 bath on the top flor is broken, the ice machine quit working towards the end of the stay and at the beginning of the stay we had to call maintenance to come fix one of the air condition units. Finally the would suggest that the trees and bushes be trimmed back coming into the driveway and in the parking area for better access and visibility down DeBordieu Blvd.to pull out of the drive way.
That about covers it. Overall our stay was okay, but would have expected more given the price for the week, as compared to other places of similar statue we have rented over the years.
