Great house for a large family gathering. Two issues- the backyard seemed much larger in photos. Also the basement needs a dehumidifier as the mildew odor made it somewhat unusable.

This was our second stay at the Mountain House, and this time we were lucky enough to stay for two full weeks. We enjoyed every minute. Most of our days were spent curled up on the two big sofas that flank the fireplace, reading, relaxing, and visiting with friends who joined us for a few days. We kept a crackling fire going and couldn’t have been more content. We rarely turned on the TV! Communication with the owner was excellent, and the house was clean, comfortable, and so easy to settle into. It truly feels like a home in the mountains, not just a rental. Grateful for the time we spent there!
