Asia House, sits on an ocean bluff in Princeville on the spectacular north shore of Kauai. The ocean or Queen's Bath is right across the street. There are beaches all over Princeville, all within 1-2 miles or less. Princeville Resort is a jewel on Hanalei Bay, known as one of the most beautiful bays and beaches in the world. This location is very quiet. Kauai has it all... spectacular scenery, gracious people, bird-watching, whale watching, snorkeling, diving, golfing, hiking, and more.

Great hideaway location with privacy. Coral and Ian were so kind and accommodating, especially with helping us keep our perishables chilled on our first day of check-in. Very nice hosts and hardworking for us!

The on-line pictures presented the outdoor property as more inviting, clean & organized than actual. The inside didn't make us feel as comfortable as desired. The bedding and pillows appeared older; didn't feel comfortable with no pillow protectors with many other people using the same pillows. Discolored foam on couch, under cushions, without fabric. Cracked acrylic protector on top of desk. Only two bath towels for 5 day stay. Was warm/humid with fan and no air conditioning. Overall locations wasn't a refreshed environment. We didn't love it.

Good location on the north shore of Princeville. Easy to get from Lihue airport to Hanalei town where we ate most of our meals. The hosts are amazing, very helpful and nice to get to know. The room was very clean with all the amenities you could ask for. Large refrigerator, microwave and accessories. If you want to grill out there is a grill we did not use it. The gardens on the property are beautiful and relaxing. A little bistro table and chairs for a morning tea. The rooms are very private and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and spa, both very clean. If you are interested in sunrise shells ask Coral. I would definitely stay with them again.

Coral and Ian were wonderful hosts! Their property is beautiful and well maintained. It felt like a home away from home staying here. They even invited us out to the beach, we weren’t able to attend but the thought was so nice of them to include us! We definitely will be back again and stay here in the future. We stayed in August 2026 when the highs each day were in the low 80s and the lows were in the high 70s. Carol and Ian were nice enough, responsive to my request for an additional fan, and accommodating of late checkout. Their property was beautiful.That being said, the title and description of this property left out some very critical details. The biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning. You cannot close the door and window because there is no AC, and you cannot leave them open because there is no privacy. The owners and their other Vrbo guest(s) are walking right by your door and window. "Shangri-la escape"? I don't think so. The "kitchenette" is a shelf with some appliances on it, a desk with a coffeepot, and a small fridge just outside the bathroom door. You wash your dishes in the bathroom sink (gross!).The "pool" is about the size of a hot tub. You can't swim in it. We didn't try.The property is described as being across the street from the ocean, and so it may appear from the map. But it is in fact across the street from the Queens Bath trailhead, reportedly a pretty dangerous and steep hike. You cannot see or hear the ocean from the unit, nor can you catch any hint of an ocean breeze that might offer some relief from the oppressive heat during the sweltering, sleepless nights on the too-soft mattress.The unit might be adequate for a solo traveler in the winter, but I heartily wish I had spent more for something with privacy and air conditioning.

I would remove this host from your selection! I never write reviews but this was a nightmare. I had a no success with contacting the host and getting a response prior to travel. (Last minute trip) I sent messages with alternative ways to contact me. When arriving to the island I tried on multiple occasions. When I arrived to the Princeville area and still no contact I tried again and again. No messages with how to access the property. I drove by the property, no one answered the door. There were several cars parked outside. I finally contacted Expedia. The initial agent was unable to contact the host. He transferred me to a manager, he was unable to contact the host. Expedia gave me a full refund and is comping my first night in a new location. I still need to deal with that reimbursement nightmare. Unfortunately, Expedia could not find a room! I had to go that on my own at the last minute. I did and it turned out ok. However, not so fun when you have confirmation of reservations and are the ghosted, especially when traveling along. The host reached out to me the next day, after cancellation, still with no access instructions and told me to read the legal terms. Too little too late. Leave a lady stranded. Never book at this location!!! Expedia should drop them.

Fantastic experience with a great location next to queens bath in the north shore. Would recommend any couple to stay here as everything was clean and had everything we need. The hosts were also amazing to accommodate any needs we had.
