Welcome to a truly unique stay among the vines at Painted Prairie Vineyard. Set in the heart of Minnesota’s scenic prairie landscape, this one-of-a-kind glamping experience blends the rustic charm of farm life with the refined pleasure of small-batch wines and slow country living.

Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the laid-back pace of vineyard life. Whether that means waking up to golden light filtering through grapevines, enjoying a quiet coffee on your private deck, or strolling over to the tasting room for your first pour of the day.

Each tent is thoughtfully placed with prairie views or amidst the vines. On select evenings enjoy wood-fired pizzas, live music, and community gatherings under the stars - then retreat to your tent for a peaceful night’s sleep in nature, without sacrificing comfort.

Tent Features:
Step inside your serene Vineyard Hause glamping retreat featuring a cozy queen bed with soft linens and prairie views just beyond the canvas. Inside, you'll find thoughtful comforts including a coffee station, AC, an exposed hanger unit for clothing, a small wardrobe for storage, and a coat rack to keep things tidy. It’s a simple yet stylish space designed for relaxation after a day of wine tasting and countryside exploring.

10/10 glamping experience, so much fun!

We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary glamping at the Painted Prairie Vineyard and it was such a fun way to spend a weekend! We spent the afternoon at the winery enjoying delicious flatbreads and apps, along with great wine, of course! Elysa was my favorite! The cookie skillet with ice cream and homemade caramel sauce is a MUST! The pavillion staff are wonderful, fun and full of recommendations! We loved the surrounding beauty of the prairie, especially the wildflowers and trails around the vineyard. When we made our way to the glamping sites, it was exactly like the pictures on the website showed! Krista and Andy have really thought of every amenity you might need for a night which made our stay so easy and enjoyable! This felt like a totally pampering experience! There was even a bouquet of fresh flowers in our tent! Since the overnight temps were dipping into the 50s, I was worried we would be cold sleeping, but the heating unit kept us warm and cozy all night. Morning came and we woke up to a picnic basket of breakfast goodies on our doorstep and enjoyed coffee and muffins on the deck overlooking the lake. All in all, this was a very fun experience and we can’t wait to do it again! 10/10 recommend!!! Well done Kopperud’s and Painted Prairie staff!

In 2014, our family was looking for a new place in the country to call home. Our realtor put a plug in our ear about this beautiful piece of land that was about to go on the market—and it just happened to be a running winery! We decided to come and take a look…and rest is history! We fell in love with the rolling prairie and water around our place; it was (and still is) our rustic oasis! And, of course, grapevines and functioning winery was icing on the cake! We are never afraid to shy away from a new adventure so we jumped in and Painted Prairie Vineyard has been running since!

Both of us were born and raised in Southwest Minnesota and value of the importance of supporting local business. We have grapevines on site, but we purchase local grapes and apples (within an hour of our place) to make our wines. We also have décor from local businesses and showcase foods from local vendors as well.

When you visit our winery, you’ll get to meet us (Andy and Krista) and our lovely little family of three vivacious girls- Annika, Elysa, and Britta. You may also get to meet our Vineyard dog, Goldie. We are thrilled to show you our little slice of heaven and share our taste of the prairie!
