Vratnik is a settlement in Sarajevo built in the 18th century. well In its origins, it was a fortified town called "Stari grad Vratnik", now in the village of the same name, it has been a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2005. Legend has it that Vratnik got its name due to the fact that it symbolized "the gates of Sarajevo". The gates of the fort, which were made of oak wood, were closed every sunset and opened again at sunrise.
