Amazing Ocean View!

The pictures do not do this property justice. We wanted a nice and stormy weekend to watch the ocean and get away from reality and our stay did not disappoint! The house was clean and orderly, it was private and stunning! Perfect off season get away! Will be staying here again!

Great spot

Great little spot right on the ocean. Beach access about a 2 min walk away to the north. Can be a bit tricky getting down with small ones but we managed. We were there during a storm and home stayed warm although water did pool in the slider track, so something to be aware of during heavy rain. All in all it was a great property and we enjoyed our stay.

Not Quite Right

Fantastic location. Gorgeous ocean views. Generally clean house. Disappointed in the yard as we rented this house specifically because it was pet friendly and said it had a fenced yard. It does, just 3/4 fenced so we could not let our dog out on his own. Also, the couch is broken and uncomfortable. The king sized bed is nice but very, very soft. Overall, we enjoyed our time, especially sitting outside watching the ocean.

Nice little cottage

This is a nice little cottage. The fenced yard was nice for our dog and it is right on the ocean. However, getting to the beach is not very easy. There are stairs but the final "climb" is down some huge boulders and it can be very slippery when wet. If you have anyone with mobility issues you'll have to drive about 5 minutes north to the next easy beach access. The host was awesome, very responsive when we had an issue. Overall it was a nice stay for a reasonable price.

Lovely ocean views

Good size for two to three people and a dog. Bedrooms are small. Views to the ocean from the large windows in the dining and living area are great. Pathway to the beach is close, however would be very difficult for someone with mobility or balance issues.

Love the Tillicum Beach House

Great stay. Cozy house. Great view. Comfy beds. Great location. Keep an eye out for the resident bald eagle. We got to watch him fish. Pretty spectacular.

Great views; Dirty, Stinky, and poorly maintained Home

Although the location and view were wonderful, the overall experience was not uplifting due to the poor upkeep, dirtiness, and offensive smells in the home. A real disappointment to pay money and travel far to find myself in this rental home that made me long to be back in my actual home. Will not stay with Ocean Odyssey again.Positives: *Nice layout of house - great ocean views from living/dining areas. *Host was easy to contact by phone and answered my questions upon arrival.*Kitchen well stocked and newer cabinets and flooringNegatives:Home smelled awful - like old, urine-soaked subflooring- worst in bathroom but detectible in kitchen, dining area, and living area. *Dirty - Visible layers of dirt, hair, mysterious chunks, sand, dust under sofas, chairs, and beds. I dropped something on the floor while in bed, and when I reached down to pick it up, I had to wash my hands afterward because the floor under the edge of the bed was so dirty. Yuck. Animal hair and dust visible on glass TV table upon arrival. Lid of kitchen trash can streaked with grease upon arrival. Sliding door and window runners dirty and moldy.*Poorly maintained interior - walls with chipped paint, headboard of master bed in bad shape, picture frame in smaller bedroom coming apart, trim in bathroom incomplete, toilet seat wiggles when you sit on it, *Information in the home did not include tsunami evacuation route. Host did verbally provide this information when called to ask.

Great View!!

Updated kitchen and amazing views. A great comfortable place to stay on the Oregon Coast. Could use some updates like new carpet or floorcoverings and a coat of paint throughout but comfortable and clean. A working lock on the bathroom door would be a nice addition too.I would stay again because the location and viiews can't be beat.

Disappointed on our 25th Anniversary

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were told last minute that we would not be able to use the hot tub. Not much could be rearranged last minute. I really think we should have been told earlier so we would have options. No compensation was made for property not being as described!!!!!

Beautiful View

Beautiful view and location. The first thing we were greeted with to when entering the front door into the laundry room was a ceiling peeling apart and the carpets are pretty stained, the front right burner doesn't work on the stove and most things in the kitchen seemed mismatched but things were clean except the frying pans, they had cooked on food in them, but the scouring pad worked fine for the ones we wanted to use. We also couldn't get the tv to work, there is no CBL button on the remotes as described in the instructions. The house definitely needs some upgrading and the slider track could use some cleaning, it's very difficult to open and close, but again I will say that the location and the view were phenomenal and we took great advantage of the bench in the back yard to watch the waves and sunsets.

Conrad Cottage Take Two

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had an excellent stay at the Conrad Cottage for the second year in a row. The view of the ocean cannot be beat, and the fenced back yard is great for the kids. While the property is not spotless and not without a few warts, you'll be hard-pressed to find an oceanfront property that is perfect--especially one that accepts pets. This one checks A LOT of boxes and we will not hesitate to stay again. As others note, beach access is a bit tricky having to navigate rocks/boulders at the bottom of the stairs, probably a hazard for the elderly. But, the cottage itself is accessible with no noted safety hazards from our last visit (though the stove top is not fully functional--right side burners do not operate if memory serves . . . no matter, we used the gas grill almost exclusively anyway).

Comfortable Cottage

Very comfortable with a great view and semi-easy access down to the beach. The only thing that was disappointing was that the king size bed was made but obviously the bedding had not been cleaned. The sheets were littered with sand and food crumbs, and the awful smell of patchouli was overwhelming. The dishes appeared to have just been put away by the cleaning crew as many of the dishes and pans were wet, and the silverware had crusted food on them. I know that the turn around time is tight between guests, but better care in cleaning should be given when the owner and the guests are paying for this service. I would still rent this cottage again as it was perfect otherwise. Hopefully someone can speak to the cleaning staff about this.

Reviewer Comments: Overall the rental is in a great location with a fantastic view. The rental company was very responsive with our complaints. Even going as far as giving us one night’s refund for the inconveniences we encountered. The house, as often happens, is not quite as nice as the photos online. But still very liveable. Our issue was that the carpets had just been cleaned and were still very wet. The were few screens on the windows or sliding glass doors. One burner on the range did not work and the coffee pot carafe broke when filling with water.Again Ocean Odyssey was very responsive and brought a new coffee maker over the same morning

Great Location, Perfect Size

Reviewer Comments: It is nice to find a small cottage at the beach just for my husband and me and our 2 dogs at a great price. The house seems to be a work in progress and is a little funky, but that is what we like. Updated kitchen was very nice. The beach access is just 3 houses down. For us it was an easy access but for some, climbing over the large boulders at the bottom might not be. Wonderful sunset views and lot's of outdoor furniture to relax on. Dogs enjoyed the partially fenced in yard. The description says that the property does not provide coffee filters, but there are probably 500 of them that others have left! For the life of me I couldn't figure out the remote for the TV very well. Maybe some better instructions? Garbage trucks on Monday morning were a bit loud as they backed up and stopped to empty cans right outside the bedroom wall. We would love to rent this home again.

Beach front in Yachats!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You shouldn’t be allowed to complain when you stay beach front in Yachats, but I’ll do my best. I have been renting beach homes in Yachats for the last 8 years. And multiple times a year. So I have some reference. My past rental “Conrad” was awesome as far as location. And great because it has a backyard for dogs. We arrived to find the heat cranked up really high and the humidifier running. Seemed like a maintenance event had occurred. The carpet was stained like crazy. But nothing smelled. The home looked as if it needed some maintenance. The fence was not completed either. The TV /cable remote was a frustrating cluster to operate. Took us 10 mins to get it going. So done complaining. Compared to all the past Yachats rentals I give the Conrad a (6). But when the hot tube gets fixed and the fence is done. This place is a strong (8.5). Between being a beach front home and allowing dogs ( and humans) a place like this takes abuse! So still an awesome stay!

Great ocean view

You can see the ocean from the living room and dining room, or go out to the backyard for an even better view. We spent quite a bit of time at the bench just watching the waves from the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The street the house is on is quiet and we didn't see/hear any neighbors. The house is located along the nice stretch of sandy beach between Yachats and Waldport, but the beach access from the house is difficult for older folks like us. So we drove down to Governor Patterson state park just a few minutes away with easy beach access. The cottage itself could use some TLC. The carpets are badly stained and the living room smelled like wet dog our entire stay. (we don't have a dog) There were ants in the kitchen as soon as we arrived, and maintenance brought an ant bait the next day but we still had to deal with ants. The king bed was very firm and not comfortable and the TV remote wasn't working. We were happy to see decent weather in early October, plenty of sun. On the day we checked out, it was 80 degrees by 11am (crazy) so we hung out at the state park and enjoyed the beach. We drove to Florence to eat at Mo's one day, and enjoyed fish and chips from Luna Sea Fish House in Yachats another day. C&K Market in Yachats has everything you need including a large variety of fresh produce. We also took a drive to find the Yachats covered bridge.
