It was wonderful stay at this vacation house. It is equipped with everything you need. The owners are so generous with household staples. It is a perfect location to explore the peninsula and Sleeping Bear Park.

Great Stay!

This home was perfect for our group of 4 adults. Communication with owner was very good. Very clean and best stocked VRBO we have stayed in. Cherry pie left for us was a nice touch. Close to a few restaurants and shops. Nice private outdoor area with table and chairs out back. Comfortable beds and the AC worked great, as it got very hot! We would recommend and definitely stay here again.

Adorable Cottage

We had a great weekend at the cottage. We were greeted by the housekeeper who thoroughly explained all the amenities. Owner communicated check in and out process and even met me with a forgotten item. Much appreciated. The home was very clean and the location was perfect for wine tasting and enjoying Leelanau County.

Retirement celebration tour

The property is very cozy and comfortable. The host has thought of everything needed for guests to feel at home. In addition they gave us restaurant suggestions in the local area.It is in a great location and it is quiet and relaxing. Check in/out was very easy and we were greeted and shown various aspects of use of the home.We would defiantly stay again.

The location is great, close to Leland, Sutton’s Bay, Northport, Traverse City, and everywhere in between. The amenities of the house anticipated anything that we would need! The addition of the fenced-in backyard made traveling with our (2) Collies, and staying at this house, perfect. Also, the owner’s caretaker, Jenny, is cheerful, helpful, and available to help in any way. This is our 2nd summer staying here, and we have already booked next summer here. In my family’s opinion, you can’t find a similar property, for the price, anywhere in the area. We loved it!

Great location

Very nice home with cute features. The bed was extremely soft. Very easy walk to local restaurants, coffee shop and even a couple of wineries. We definitely would stay here again.

Loved our stay. Felt like home.

Everything was excellent. Appreciated the ease of staying in a home that felt like home. Hosts were very gracious and communicative and provided excellent information about the area and how to enjoy their home. We look forward to returning.

They were working on the septic system 2 days of our stay. we were never informed of this before staying. Beware! We asked for a partial refund and the host denied it.

Homey place to stay, clean and never have seen such a Well stocked Vrbo. Great location. And an added plus was a delicious cherry pie and ice cream. Yum.

We loved this location, house clean. A cherry pie and ice cream was left for us, a nice treat!

The location is great, met our expectations! Nice king bed, patio, stocked kitchen and tv. Appreciate being able to take our little Daisy.

Amazing Place to Stay!

Sparkling clean and the most well-stocked house we have ever stayed in! There was a cherry pie waiting for us. Awesome location! We visited Old Mission Peninsula, TC, Northport, and Fish Town. The hosts were fantastic. We would love to return!

This property was perfect for the two of us and our two small dogs. As you look at the photos, you may think that the interior is out of date. But, it is very clean, well maintained and has everything you would ever need. It reminded us of staying at Grandmas house when we were kids. The small backyard is fenced, which is a big plus when you have dogs. The bedroom that we stayed in had an adjustable bed that makes it better for me to sleep. I have one at home but you don’t find one in a rental usually. This home is located right in the middle of about 30 wineries, that’s why we come here along with the beautiful scenery. We will most likely return to stay here again.

Great Place!

This is a great place to stay. Great location, close to all that Leelenau has to offer, clean, easy to relax and enjoy your stay here. Jim was friendly, easy going and made us feel welcome. We made ourselves at home. Looking forward to coming back!

Wonderful Stay!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our long weekend in Leelanau. The home was well equipped, cozy, and inviting. So many extras - apple pie and ice cream upon our arrival, a milkshake machine, beautiful private patio space, comfortable bed and furniture, a short walk to local restaurants, and centrally located to everything the peninsula has to offer. Highly recommend!!!!

Beautiful spot

This was our second time staying at this convenient and well equipped property. It’s in the heart of Leelanau County near villages and beaches. I highly recommend it, and the owners are easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Great place-great location

Great place, great setting, quiet area, close to Leland, close to North port, close to Suttons Bay, and Traverse City. Close to lakes. The only thing that could upgrade the experience from “great” to “perfect”, would have been a fenced in back yard for our Collies. But, we made it work without skipping a beat. The cherry pie for us as a checking in bonus, was delicious!

Very comfortable home

A very comfortable home, well supplied for visitors. It felt like being at home to be there. Owners and greeters were easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. It was a pleasure to be staying in a space that has all the comforts of home and was good to return to after a day outdoors walking in the woods. We plan to return.

We, Carol and Jim Ashmore, are excited to be opening our home to you. Carol was born and raised in Traverse City while Jim came from Stockbridge. For over 30 years we lived and worked down state. Returning to Leelanau County and being able to live here have been a dream come true for us

ATW also has a year round rental, with a separate entrance and separate driveway on the lower level of the house. Having lived six months a year for eight years in the main level of our home, lower level noise has never been a problem. When we renovated ATW we made special efforts to sound proof the house as much as possible.

Family roots and a deep appreciation for the beautiful natural landscape of the area have always been a magnet for us. Carol's family has been in Leelanau County since the mid-1800's. Her mother was born and raised in Northport. Many of her cousins still live in the area. We enjoy walking the many beaches, swimming and looking for Petoskey stones, riding our bikes and sometimes just going for a ride. There is no other place we want to call home!

Traverse City, with all it offers the vacationer, is only 20 miles away. Perhaps you would like a day trip to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Glen Arbor or an evening outing in Peshawbestown at the Leelanau Sands Casino. Our central location gives you a multitude of options, all close to home. And when you return home from your day's adventures, you will feel the comfort and relaxation that only home can give you.
