This was an enjoyable stay! Without being too remote (too far from Anchorage or Wasilla), we were able to have a remote home experience.
Parents loved (kids bemoaned 😉) the lack of WiFi. It forced them to spend time playing games and cornhole. Note to out of state visitors: our cell carrier has NO service in the state of Alaska. Something to look into. We found ourselves parked outside of McDonalds a few times. The yard area is large & two picnic tables allow for outdoor eating if the weather is warm enough. (No table inside- which suited us just fine. We used the coffee table/ sat in the ground.)
We stayed here with our 6 kids. Although there were technically enough beds, the pull out bed was so thin, the springs made for an uncomfortable few nights. There could be a few more pillows and blankets for sitting around the house & more comfort.
We didn’t see the owners at all, except for when we sought them out. No wildlife except for a rabbit.
I really liked the layout. For the size of the house, it held our family well. Kitchen was large and open to the living area. 2 showers, with the majority of the sleeping spaces upstairs was a great fit. Exactly what we were looking for.
