As rare as spotting the mystical creature, The Unicorn offers the unique opportunity to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the country with all the convenience of the city. The home is settled at the end of a cul de sac on nearly 13 acres in Ham Lake, MN. There are three bedrooms (all with blackout curtains) and two full baths on the main level with two additional bedrooms and one additional full bath in the basement. The home has a full kitchen on the upper level with a small kitchen area (sink and refrigerator only) on the lower level.
The basement bedroom includes a game room stocked with board games, a ping pong table and an air hockey table in the basement's recreation room. Within the basement bedroom, there are two foldout couches as well as a sleeper sofa (not recommended for adults) for guests to enjoy while spending quality time together.
The home has two smart TVs for use with your streaming services.
Guests can enjoy sitting on the front patio or deck with a cool drink while watching the wildlife in the yard. There are two families of turkeys, many deer and lots of bunnies and squirrels for guests to admire. There are swings and some sports equipment available for guest use in the yard. In the winter, guests can enjoy the spacious yard to build a snowman, snow shoe or even snowmobile from the property.
For our youngest guests, there is a pack and play and high chair available, upon request.
The Unicorn is 4 miles from The National Sports Center/Super Rink, 3 miles from TPC, 20 miles to the MN State Fair and a 35 minute drive to the airport, the home is centrally located. It offers the unique opportunity to have privacy, room to play (inside and outside), abundant wildlife, walking/biking trails, a country retreat feel while being minutes from an abundance of local restaurants, shopping and sports and entertainment venues.
A Couple Notes:
Exterior Cameras Present: For the safety of our guests, and our home, there are cameras on the exterior of the property.
There is a race shop on the property with a large racing trailer. These are not accessible to guests. Please do not attempt to access the shop, trailer or truck. The race crew may access the shop during your stay. They will park on the West end of the shop, so as not to disrupt guests. If they will be in the shop while you are staying in the home, the host will let the guest know how many crew members (typically no more than two), the names of the crew members and how long the crew members will be at the shop.
