Roo's Nest, Ellijay, Ga

I'm a military veteran, serving 22 years in the USAF. I live in Ellijay, Ga. and have 10 years of hosting and property management experience.

Roo's Nest has breathtaking panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is nestled in a private enclave. The interior is all pine wood stained with many style furnishings and accessories. It has a fully stocked custom kitchen. The cabin includes 3 king bedrooms, and 3 full bathrooms with luxury towels, private label soaps, shampoo and conditioner. It includes a game room down stairs with a pool table, foosball, dart board, arcade game and cornhole. Dogs are welcome with prior approval, we do have restrictions. There is a fenced in front yard for your pets. There is parking for guests in cabin driveway and it also has a 2 car carport. The cabin has a whole-house automatic generator in the event of a power outage and a water filtration system for the well. There is also a ring camera on the front of the cabin, pointing toward the porch for security purposes. It does not impede on guests privacy.

Roo's Nest is located on a beautiful ridge, approximately 6 miles (10 to 15 minute drive) from historic downtown Ellijay. You are just a short drive from Blue Ridge (20 miles, a 25 to 30 minute drive), Amicalola Falls State Park, the beginning or terminus of the Appalachian Trail (30 minute drive), Fort Mountain State Park (45 minute drive), Gahuti Mountain Trail (45 minute drive), and several Vineyards for wine tasting (Chateau Meichtry, Buckley,Ellijay River, Engelheim, Otts, and Roo, all within a 15 to 30 minute drive. Roo Mountain Vineyards is actually 1.5 miles from the cabin, about a 4 minute drive. Other attractions in the area are Cohutta Wildlife Management Area, for hiking and fishing, You can also take the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (call to reserve a ride), a historic train ride through the stunning North Georgia Mountains. Through the entire year is a great time to visit the numerous apple houses for all kinds of fruits, vegetables, and fruit pastries and pies.
