The owner was very accommodating and courteous. The price was very reasonable for the location.The views were BREATHTAKING. The Villa was definitely a great vibe. It was so cozy, comfortable and clean. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The golf cart included was the bonus and very necessary. They have so many amenities in the private community. I must say my stay was nothing short of fabulous. I definitely recommend 10/10.

Amazing location and condo!

This was our first trip to the island. I loved the location of the condo and the beautiful view from the balcony! We were actually lucky enough to meet the owners who are a lovely couple! We enjoyed having our own golf cart for the weekend!! Great trip!!

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful condo with amazing views. Our family of four fit comfortably in the one bedroom with pullout couch. Newly remodeled bathrooms and kitchen. Easily walk to pool and cove for snorkeling. Inclusion of golf cart made the trips in to town easy and accessible. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location. Very quiet. Can see pool and private ocean cove from widow and balcony. We liked this because we appreciated knowing when they were unoccupied so we could go and enjoy privately. Having two full-baths and two entrances was great. Also having full use of the gold-cart was super convenient and fun. View from bed absolutely stunning.

Amazing!

My family had such a wonderful time! I wish we could’ve stayed an extra day. The unit was beautiful and clean. It was so fun to explore the island with the golf cart! Both Chela and the owner were very communicative. They were able to accommodate an early check-in, and Chela also delivered a pack n’ play for our infant daughter! 5 stars all around. We would love to come back!

My hurricane vacation

Property was fine , I requested to change my date of vacation since the hurricane was going to hit Catalina , and the owner wouldn’t work with me . I couldn’t bring my family cause we got stuck plus we didn’t do anything since they closed down most of the island . Evacuation was in place , and they still would allow me to change my date .

Amazing location! The property was exactly what was stated on the listing.. Beautiful view! Very spacious. Coffee in the morning on the balcony overlooking the ocean was a plus! Everything about this property was EXCELLENT! The Golf Cart is a definite bonus! The only downer was that there was excess amount of long Blonde Hair on the bed. My wife is a Brunette… Housekeeping needs to do a better job of cleaning! I’m a planner and I reached out to our Host Chela Hernandez multiple times via email regarding our check in but got no response up until we arrived and I called her direct… Other than that our stay was AWESOME! Definitely recommend this Villa!

Nice condo for family of four, with great views

We really enjoyed our stay. The views were incredible. It was clean and included most of the amenities you would expect. There was plenty of room for a family of four. It was sometimes noisy due to loud, late-night guests at the pool. The golf cart was pretty old, including broken seat belts. Master bath shower head was pretty old/corroded and could be replaced, and there wasn't any dishwasher detergent to clean the dishes properly. None of these things were too big of a deal, as we really liked the place. We just thought we'd offer a few suggestions for minor fixes.

Wonderful location

The condo was in an excellent location with a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay, however the place was not cleaned well. Also, the toilet in the upstairs bathroom was continuously running and it was loud, but rather than fixing it, someone had just turned the water off. Another annoying issue was the golf cart which should have been full of gas when we arrived, was only half full. We were only there for one full day and hardly used the cart, but we had to drive all the way to the gas station which is a 40 minute round trip drive and pay to fill it up so that the next tenant had a full tank! Also, the door to the bedroom downstairs to the outside where the owner says you can leave your luggage for easier access does not unlock, therefore we had to carry our bags all the way up to the front door and then downstairs inside. We enjoyed our stay, but this place had more problems than we cared to deal with for such a short stay.

Cold water, no golf cart at check in

We loved the location and the home. I reached out to our island contact a day prior to arrival. She said I could drop off luggage at the villa and take the golf cart while we waited for our room to be ready. Upon arrival there was no golf cart. The door was open. We were quickly told the golf cart would be there soon. It arrived after 1 hr. After 45 min of asking the children to stay out of the room and not touch... we gave in and just started to settle in. Not horrible, yet we would have planned food and our arrival much different. Our first night we had a luke warm shower. We had returned from snorkeling and were a bit cold. The second night I took off wet suits with 2 of us in the shower. It was cold again within 10 min. I reached out again to our island contact. I was told a plumber would come. No one did to my knowledge. On the final night yet again the water was cold within 10 minutes. I was very disappointed considering the cost of the villa. The first morning there was 2 packages of raw meet pushed to the corner of the bedroom door and main walk way. There were ants. I pushed it 10 ft away and continued to our morning activities. The meat was scattered upon returning in the afternoon. I again made contact with our island contact. She apologized yet the mess was never mopped up. So we walked over the sticky meat spot all week. Beautiful place. Terrible customer service.

Great overall stay

Great views, nice place. It came a golf cart was great but the exhaust smells is a but much. Nice place but when turning on the TV it errors on the screen which took an hour to reset it. The small stuff was no spatula but a outdoor grill one which scratches up Teflon in your food from the pan and the soap in bathrooms were very hard and zero lather. Bringing your own is a must

Took the boat to Catalina Island and attended JazzTrax event. For a town of 4k people, everyone was friendly. Our villa at Hamilton Cove was great. The view of the ocean was mesmerizing and calming. Bed is super comfy. There is plenty of coffee and filters. Stop at Vons and pick up some groceries but we dined at fabulous restaurants. Potato Cottage is the breakfast place. Get there by 9 am avoid the line. Lobster Trap had fresh lobster yummy. Take a guided tour. The island has rich history

Absolutely beautiful!

Wonderful place! The bed was so comfortable!!! Beautiful veiw!!!! Had an excellent time! Couldn't ask for a better location! The spa wasn't working is the only negative.

Mostly Good

We enjoyed our first visit to Hamilton Cove in Avalon. The view was amazing and the golf cart is very much a necessity. It gave us the freedom to explore Avalon and take in the views. The unit had really nice, updated bathrooms and check-in was easy. It is a little bit dated though and there is no A/C! While this was not a problem at night with open windows and ceiling fans, during the day it did get a little warm. As other reviews stated, there are many stairs to access the unit, so please plan accordingly. You will need a taxi to get to and from the ferry landing, but the location is great if you want to enjoy the quiet side of Avalon,

Sons Wedding Weekend

On the island for youngest son’s wedding. We have family that lives on the island. First time staying at Hamilton Cove and not staying with family. This unit is great! There’s 30+ stairs to the master bedroom door. Stair count is important in Hamilton Cove. The unit was in a great location, the island contact couldn’t have been more helpful, the upstairs living room, kitchen, balcony were wonderful. The location is close to the pool which was important to us. The golf cart was in great working condition. My husband wants to come back and stay for a month in this unit. It is well worth it.

Relaxing and beautiful vacation

We had an awesome stay! Rental unit had all we needed and was located overlooking the pool and the gym, both of which we used. The golf cart was great getting us into town to shop and eat. The weather was gorgeous and can’t wait to come back!
