Whittle Farmhouseへようこそ。WhittleFarmhouseは、1926年以来同じ家族の歴史的な家です。 長年にわたって更新され維持されているこの家は、ハイランドの異なる時代の歴史と性格を今も維持しています。
メインレベルには、ケーブルテレビ付きの広いリビングエリアと、集まるスペースがたくさんあります。 設備の整ったキッチンの隣に別のダイニングルーム（6〜8席）があります。 メインレベルのベッドルームにはハンディキャップがあり、キングベッド、ルームエアコンユニット、テレビ、ウォークインシャワー付きのフルバスが備わっています。 ハーフバスとランドリーのあるスロープでアクセスできる素敵なサイズのバックドアエントリ/サンルームがあります。 ロッカーで覆われたフロントポーチは、広大な芝生を見渡せます。
上の階には、アンティークの浴槽（シャワーなし）、クイーンベッドのある寝室（＃2）、2人の双子のいる別の寝室（＃3）、2番目のMstとみなされる＃4寝室のある廊下風呂があります。 BRにはテレビ付きのクイーンベッドとフルバスがあります（シャワーなしのバスタブなし）

I almost wish we hadn’t been so busy with wedding events so that we could have spent all our time ‘at home’. Three of us are architects and we loved being in a historic house. We loved the sunny porch, the beautiful lawn, the short walk to town. The downstairs bedroom is large and sunny and the upstairs bedrooms have all the charm of the sweet old farm house that is Whittle Pines. We loved it!

Wonderful stay!

Our family had a relaxing time in Highlands Labor Day weekend. This house is very close to downtown. We walked in to town most days. Great time!

Historic home walking distance from highlands. The wall heating units take a minute to figure out but would come again.

Great location with serene surroundings

This is our second stay at this location and it has served as a great “home base”, once again. The house is older and a bit dated but clean in general. The grounds are really great with plenty of green space and well cared for. The location is about three or four blocks from Main St. so it is a short and scenic walk to the center of town. We’d definitely stay again

Great location in the heart of Highlands.

This is our 4th year renting this property. It is located about a 10 minute walk to Main Street but sits on a cozy and secluded 2 acre lot. Very convenient to everything. The home does show its age a bit and the stove and dishwasher both had issues when we stayed. The oven door would not open and the dishwasher did not drain properly. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The large deck and outdoor fire pit were both well used during our stays. The bedrooms all were comfortable. For the price point, this is an excellent value in Highlands. We'll be back!

Great location just walking distance from Main Street

The property was very nice on approx 2 acres. It is an older home but it was well kept and in my opinion very cozy and laid back. My only problem was that the property manager did not return my calls or email regarding how to check in. I literally had to make four separate attempts to finally get some information on where to pick up keys. So property good! Location great! Management company, meh at best. A communication in advance of arrival is pretty standard in my vrbo experience so this was definitely not the norm

Expansive yard and grounds in Highlsnds

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property has a wonderful outdoor front and back yard with a large fire pit that is perfect for families who enjoy being outdoors. It is super convenient to all of the restaurants and activities in downtown Highlands. It is large enough to sleep a big family. It has not been updated and could use a face-lift with furnishings. My daughter was very concerned about the gas radiators that provided the heat. It was very cold during our stay and I had not asked about central heat. They kept the house plenty warm but made her feel uneasy and worried that her young children would harm themselves. We all agreed that it would be a great property to renovate and keep the charm of the original house.

Horrible

Horrible Experience! Our stay at this VRBO was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First, they cancelled our reservation at the very last minute, forcing us to scramble and reschedule. Did NOT get my cancellation fee back!!! When we finally arrived, the place was a disaster. We walked in to find that none of the beds were NOT made, and the sheets on the beds were dirty. It was clear the place had not been cleaned at all. To make matters worse, the towels were filthy too. We left messages but nobody called back. When we finally got ahold of them they were sooo rude!!! But the worst part was when our grandfather sat on a rocking chair and the chair just exploded on him, resulting in a huge gouge in his head.. blood was everywhere and It was a terrifying experience for all of us. Please look around and update some stuff!!! To top it all off, the toilets did not work. We were left with no functioning bathrooms for our stay. Make some updates OR don’t rent out! This VRBO was a complete disaster. I would strongly advise against booking this place.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is a historic gem, in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to downtown. With all the appointments of a legacy home, I highly recommend this property. Property is large and well separated from neighbors. Kitchen is very well appointed, though dish washer was broke on our visit but didn't hinder our stay at all. Our visit was during October and the cool weather didn't require us to use the a/c, so we can't comment on that though the heaters worked great in the evening.

Charming old house. Some aspects could use updating. Oven door was locked and would not open. One of the stove burners wouldn’t work. Garbage disposal non functional as well. Missed a few housekeeping details such as guest beds not fully made. Overall a nice place and would stay there again.

We enjoyed walking to the downtown Main Street area. The negative about the house was the gas/kerosene system. It got down to 28 degrees on Sunday nite but we were afraid to run the old heater system after we went to bed so we nearly froze. Need to get a central electric heat system and move into the 1970’s ( which is the time when most most home had central heat installed). Also the family photos displayed in the upstairs bedroom should come down if a vacation rental. Don’t want to see somebody’s photos from 40 years ago.

Great location/ Old house

House is in a great location, and had plenty of space for our group of 8. We had no heat upstairs on our first night (propane heater and gas to house was not turned on). I got a response on my 2nd call to agency (about noon). Heaters were very tricky to light. We had to call agency again about 6pm- got a very quick response then. With a large group, be mindful that hot water heater can not handle multiple showers at once. Other little glitches with house: remote control didn’t work in Master and half-bath door didn’t lock. Yard was really big and outdoor fire pit was awesome.
