Cozy 2BR / 1BA historic adobe + terrone home next to the Spanish acequia. Located in Los Duranes neighborhood in the Near North Valley of Albuquerque.

Architectural renovation of a century-old adobe and sod home.

Space cooled with portable AC unit in the kitchen. Passive cooling ventilating the house at night by opening windows and doors.

Features include:

Original saw-cut wood ceilings
Gypsum plaster walls
Thick (12" to 24") adobe/sod walls
Radiant brick floor* heating
Tankless hot water heater - great for multiple guests!
Large casement windows - ideal for nighttime ventilation during the summer months!

Motion-sensor security lighting over driveway

*Recommend that guests bring slippers for wearing on bare brick floor.*

Wonderful stay! Had an amazing time just enjoying the house itself super comfortable as well as in a quiet neighborhood. If your looking for a simple getaway this is the place.

So clean and spacious, snacks, coffee, and sparkling water were a great treat, and host was responsive to messages.

The house was not clean. Cake and frosting on the floor, spider webs in corners and on the ceiling, spiders crawling on the walls, popsicle stick under sofa, vacuum cleaner full of dirt. It appeared as if the house was furnished with items from a flea market. The entry doors all have glass windows top to bottom with no curtains for privacy. The cookware looks like it was bought at Goodwill. Covered in burnt on grease on aluminum fry pans. We expected much better quality for the 1000 we paid for a week stay.

The home is beautiful, simple, clutter free, and peaceful. The neighborhood is close to old town and downtown yet maintains its feeling of rural heritage. I loved walking the ditch each morning.
