Best Choice

This property worked out great for us. The location was very quiet, yet close to all the places we wanted to go. The house provided us the perfect location to host a Thanksgiving dinner in a formal dining room. Stuart, the host was very accomodating and a pleasure to work with.

Spacious, clean home, great for large families.

This home is a large place with all new appliances in the kitchen. Plenty of room for a large group of people or a large family. All amenities we needed were there.

Stuart is awesome

Stuart’s place worked out extremely well for a 5 night stay for a group of 6 adults. The house was very comfortable and delivers as listed. The Uber rides to downtown Austin were easy, even at higher traffic times. Stuart was easy to communicate with and extremely accommodating. Our group would definitely stay here again when we come back to Austin!

Worst experience ever. Avoid this property!

PRO: 1. Big house 2. Has a piano (which will be annoying if you need to Work from home) CONS: 1. Nonrefundable, because I would have cancelled and got out of there ! 2. Need to ask permission to use the washing machine / dryer and wait for the host to open the door 3. Need to ask for permission to the host enable the nest thermostat to control your own temperature 4. Hidden SURVEILANCE CAMMERAS in the house!! The alarm sensors have cameras inside, and they record videos!! 5. FULL of personal items (telescope, family photos in the walls, Diplomas, a brassiere on a drawer, and more, much more!). Be careful or you will have to pay for it even if it was broken before! 6. LOTS of Jesus everywhere… good thing is that you are never alone! Makes you feel you are at Church all the time. 7. One bedroom door marked with old masking tape sign “DO NOT CROSS”... creepy! 8. Main bedroom closet with a lock (now open fortunately). 9. Most lights on the house did not work (either don’t have the light bulb or it was burned) 10. Only 5 dinner plates available, no small plates. 11. Cannot use the backyard (door locked with key, key not available, grass not maintained about 6 inch long) 12. On top of all that: the host! Had issues even before the beginning of the stay (he wanted to cancel because we asked, if possible, to check in before 6 pm. He only provided the access code a few minutes before checking in so up to the last moment were uncertain if he would cancel or not), and intended to charge damage fee for things we were not responsible and were broken before our arrival (he ended up recognizing those were broken before our arrival). 13. Waited over 1 month to write this review. Just last week got back the deposit for damages that the host was holding as guaranteed since the paper of fridge magnet partially peeled off (Market value less than 8 USD). LOTS of issues and uncomfortable calls, many VRBO messages and discussions with the hosts blaming us for damaging this “very valuable item with a lot of meaning” that should have not been there if market cannot replace it!

Very convenient, calm, and clean

We were happy to get this house last minute. Stuart the host was very accomodating, the place was clean, the neighborhood is very quiet and also a very good location.

STAY AWAY

Imagine staying in a run down, uncared for home... then this is what you get at this house. After enduring one night of toilet stools not being able to flush if you showered...signs posted all over that this might happen due to septic problems...hole underneath kitchen cabinets where who knows what might live and grass over a foot high ...even though we were locked out of yard... we decided no one should have to endure this so we left. Notified the property owner and asked for refund and at that point forward he fell off face of the earth...no response from him. The items I noted above aren’t even listing other issues such as extremely poor mattress in one room, dirty oven and kitchen in general, ceiling peeling off or coming down in living room plus one entry and exit in case of fire...all back or possibly a side entrance door ..all padlocked from inside. Very unsafe place. I waited for a response from owner for over 10 days before posting this negative review and since he has made no attempt to refund, the posting is now out there for you all to know what type of individual and home you would be wasting your money on.

I have been an Airbnb member since 2013. In addition to hosting my Airbnb properties, I invest in several real estate projects each year, and I am a Realtor and mortgage services professional. I have been in Austin since 1978, excluding a 10 year tenure in California from 2000 - 2011.

My life is God and my family. I cannot live without them. Our favorite travel destinations are Florida and California. We vacationed extensively in Lake Tahoe and always enjoyed it's beauty. We enjoy beaches and pools, our favorite past times. We enjoy our time together, whether it be playing, cooking, cleaning, dining out, getting homework and Kumon work done, doing cub scout work, little league at Town and Country Optimist, going to church, and scouting out a new park, we enjoy it all. We also enjoy a quite movie night every chance we get.

This property has been in my family since 1978. I purchased the property when I returned from California. It brings great happiness to us when other families experience special occasions such as wedding, graduations, vacations, and other gatherings while at our home.

Our style of travelling is usually one of two extremes: one, we have a lot of activities to attend and as such will be out all day long; or two, we may want to relax and have a movie night.

This property has a very large amount of space for the dollar you pay, is very quiet and peaceful, while being very close to everything Austin has to offer. If you prefer Four Seasons accommodations, this is not it. You get great value for what you pay, and have easy access to: downtown, the Domain, F1 COTA, SXSW, ACL, Lake Travis, Round Rock, Cedar Park, and the Parmer Lane Tech Corridor.
