Our stay was brief (2 nights) but absolutely perfect for our needs. It is a mall charming cottage in the beautiful backyard of the owner’s house. It is a lovely location in the Oakland Park area, quiet, lush with tropical vegetation, and provides a cozy ambiance. Our favorite was the enclosed patio with seating for two.. It is an ideal place, affording privacy and surrounds by beautiful plants to sip coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening. We were also delighted to discover the owners have a beautifully constructed chicken coop in their large backyard. We counted a rooster and 3 hens in the coop. And the owners provide fresh eggs when you check in! I was so charmed by it. Oh and the chickens were quiet, no early morning cockadoodledoo by the rooster. They were very well mannered. There is a wonderful walk in shower, and Hope has thoughtfully provided a dark colored makeup washcloth. I usually travel with makeup washcloths but forgot mine. I did not want to ruin her white washcloths. Just a very thoughtful touch. The little kitchen is nicely appointed with everything you would need for simple cooking. It is an ideal space for two, and also has a futon for another guest or two. I highly recommend Tyler and Hope’s cottage, and it is near Highway 1. We hope to return when we visit our friends in Oakland Park.
