Great communication from host. Star house was a great option for being close to downtown options and short drive to Madeline Island ferry. One of the most well-appointed houses I've rented. Games, spices, cooking utensils, towels, everything needed for a camp fire.

An absolutely wonderful place. Great location with unbelievable amenities. My wife and I wish we could have stayed longer. If you need more than a few days this home has everything you need with a very nice kitchen and laundry machines.

Our host was very accommodating and the house was so lovely. Much better than any hotel! The extra space for the kids and games were a bonus. We really enjoyed playing the Lake Superior Go fish before we went and explored! We went to the beach nearby and rode the ferry to Madeline Island. I also was surprised at Copper Falls with an engagement to my long time boyfriend! I'll never forget our stay here!

My sisters and I (all in our 50's) took our 1st ever sisters trip to hike parks with waterfalls. We drove 5 to 7 hours to stay at this beautiful property. It was peaceful, comfortable, and the center of our adventures. The host was easy to communicate with and even gave us several local suggestions of activities going on during our time here. Definitely one of the best hosts I have ever had the pleasure of renting from in my travels. Definitely will be recommending her to my friends!

We were very impressed with this VRBO, it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Everything was immaculately clean, the host was very helpful and in communication, and there were lots of nice touches to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the fire pit and enjoyed our s'mores while there! Definitely five stars!

I’m local to Ashland and love this area — from Lake Superior to the small-town charm and outdoor adventures in every season. My family (including our pets!) calls this region home, and we’re excited to share it with visitors.

Hosting is something I genuinely enjoy. I believe the little details make a big difference, and you’ll see that care throughout the home. I keep the space simple, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with a minimalist style so guests can relax and feel at home.

My goal is for guests to have a place that feels welcoming after a day exploring everything Ashland and Lake Superior have to offer.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect mix of quiet Northwoods charm and walkable access to some of Ashland’s best spots. The home is just minutes from the Lake Superior shoreline, downtown restaurants, local breweries, and coffee shops.

Guests love being able to walk to places like Deep Water Grille and the Alley, explore the historic downtown, or take a short drive to the lakefront, trails, and parks. In the winter, the area becomes a cozy snowy retreat, while summer brings beautiful lake views, sailing, and outdoor adventures.

It’s the kind of neighborhood where you can slow down, enjoy the lake air, and experience the local community, while still being close to everything Ashland has to offer.
