New Sunset Treehouse with Hot Tub, Pool, on Norfork Lake- Ozark Mountains

🏡 The Treehouse Lake Cabin Experience

Elevated cabin experience designed to immerse you in the forest canopy with gorgeous lake views and sunsets that look like the ones in magazines.

Treehouse-style structure surrounded by mature hardwoods
Private deck among the trees
Floor-to-ceiling windows facing the forest
Cozy modern interior with natural finishes
Intimate lighting and thoughtful design details
Ideal for couples, solo retreats, and quiet getaways

Everything is built around slowing down and staying present.

⸻

🌊 Shared Lake & Cove Access. Luxury Pool with hilltop views overlooking Norfork lake. Shared pool. Hot tub at cabin.

One of the most unique parts of the property is access to shared natural waterfront spaces across the estate.

Guests enjoy:

Private access to Norfork Lake via estate shoreline
A quiet shared cove used only by a few cabins
Kayaks and paddleboards (seasonal/included)
Calm water for swimming, exploring, and fishing
Lakeside decks and shoreline areas across the property

It feels expansive, but never crowded—even when fully booked.

⸻

🌿 The Journey In

The final approach to the property is part of what preserves its privacy.

Guests travel a roughly 4-mile dirt road leading into the estate. Depending on the season, it can be a bit rough in places, especially after heavy rain or during weather changes.

But once you pass through the gated entrance, everything shifts—quiet, trees, and the feeling that you’ve truly arrived somewhere separate from the world. And for most guests, that drive ends up being part of what makes the experience feel so worth it.

⸻

🌿 The Setting

Located about 40 minutes from Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Gated entry
Forested drive-in approach
SUV recommended, though most vehicles can make it with care
Designed intentionally to stay removed from traffic and noise

What you gain is space, silence, and a deeper sense of privacy.

⸻

🌲 Why Guests Book It

True treehouse experience in a private forest setting with lake views
Part of a small, curated lakefront estate (not a crowded resort)
Access to shared private cove + lake shoreline
Modern comfort surrounded by untouched nature
Designed for couples, special occasions, and resets
Rare balance of privacy + access + atmosphere

Most guests describe it as peaceful, immersive, and hard to leave.

⸻

🌅 In Short

It’s a modern, elevated forest retreat within a secluded lakefront estate—offering treetop views, lake access, lake views, luxury pool with million dollar views, remarkable sunsets and a journey that makes the arrival feel like part of the experience itself! *. No pets allowed at this property.

The hosts were great! Communication was awesome. Building was beautiful. Just be aware when staying that you will maybe need a truck if you want to use the kayaks since you had to drive to the lake. Hosts made out stay personalized for our anniversary and was greatly appreciated!

My wife and I celebrated our 11th anniversary in the treehouse, and it was incredible. The photos don’t come close to showing how beautiful this place really is. Our hosts left a thoughtful welcome card and anniversary treats, and the lake views looked like a painting. The pool was even better, especially at sunset, which I highly recommend. We had dinner reservations and plans to go out on the lake, but the property was so peaceful that we never felt the need to leave. Each cabin is tucked away and completely private, so it truly feels like you have the whole place to yourself. The attention to detail and comfort shows how much the hosts care, and we fully support what they’re building here. We already plan to return and want to see this place in every season. The drive in is part of the adventure, with a dirt road leading to the property, so an SUV is a good idea. As stunning as the sunsets were, my favorite moments were the mornings. The treehouse stays shaded, and even in 100 weather we sat outside, relaxed, enjoyed the view of the lake, watched squirrels play, felt the breeze, and even spotted an eagle gliding over the water. Pure peace. We’ll definitely be back, and we’re excited to try some of the other cabins on the property too.

This cabin has the most beautiful views. Very remote and relaxing!! We hiked through the woods until we made it to waters edge. We went kayaking with kayaks host provided. Our host thought of everything. Long dirt road to get there and little rough but worth it if you truly want to escape.

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The property was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and exactly as described — if not better. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a true home away from home. The hosts went above and beyond with the little extras, which did not go unnoticed and made our stay feel especially welcoming. Communication was easy and prompt, and they were incredibly kind. You can truly tell how much hard work, care, and love they’ve put into the cabin, from the little details to the overall atmosphere. This trip was exactly what we needed, and this place provided the perfect space to relax, recharge, and enjoy our time away. We are so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway. We would absolutely stay here again.

One of our favorite treehouse’s that we’ve stayed in! This weekend trip was so relaxing and fun! The view and the peacefulness of this place was so worth the long dirt roads. The host was so sweet and thought of everything! We loved all of the goodies that we were gifted with. We loved everything about this trip! We enjoyed watching the sunset while either sitting on the balcony or chilling in the hot tub. The kayaks were great and the lake was so calm. We decided to go out to eat one night. Definitely recommend The Grill at Whispering Woods. I didn’t want to leave, but we will absolutely be coming back. We had the best time!

Mike and Sherry were exceptional hosts in so many ways. They were communicative, helpful, and incredibly thoughtful throughout our stay. We visited for a birthday retreat, and the treehouse was absolutely perfect—clean, beautiful, cozy, and stocked with wonderful snacks that helped us relax and truly enjoy the experience. The sunset views over the lake were gorgeous and really showcased the natural beauty of Arkansas. A couple of our favorite moments included s’mores on the deck, watching the eagles and wildlife around, and soaking in the hot tub taking in the views. We were even surprised with a little cake to help celebrate, which was a really special touch. After the recent winter storm, Mike and Sherry went above and beyond, and Mike graciously helped us get out safely when we left. I honestly cannot recommend this treehouse, or Mike and Sherry, enough. This was one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had, and I truly hope many more people get the chance to experience how special this treehouse (and these hosts) are.

Sherry grew up in Jacksonville, Arkansas, while Mike was raised just a few miles down the road from what is now Sunset Cove on Norfork Lake. Sherry’s father served in the Marine Corps, Years later, Sherry and Mike met, married, and built a life together in the West Little Rock area before eventually making their way to the Mountain Home area, specifically Elizabeth, Arkansas. Back to Mike’s upbringing.

Their journey to creating Sunset Cove began when Sherry discovered a small piece of property tucked away in Elizabeth. Sitting on the land was a cozy little cabin that immediately felt special and full of potential. What started as a simple fixer-upper slowly became something much bigger. Over time, they remodeled the cabin, purchased the surrounding land, and began building the dream of creating a peaceful place to call home.

During the pandemic, they took a leap of faith. They sold nearly everything they owned, placed the rest in storage, and moved into that tiny cabin while building their forever home nearby. Living there during that season of life made them appreciate the beauty of slowing down, being surrounded by nature, and enjoying the peacefulness of the lake area.

Once their home was completed, they realized the little cabin held too many special memories not to share with others. That cabin became the beginning of Sunset Cove on Norfork Lake. From there, they continued creating unique places for guests to experience adding a treehouse and later a modern cabin, and currently building a spa like treehouse, each designed to offer comfort, relaxation, views and unforgettable memories. Along with a luxury pool.

For Sherry and Mike, hosting is more than simply providing a place to stay. Their passion is creating experiences where people can unplug, reconnect, breathe deeply, and enjoy a slower pace of life. Whether guests are sitting by the water, enjoying the view from the treehouse, pool, cove or making memories with family, every detail matters.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose this property during the pandemic while searching for lake land that we hoped would one day become our retirement place. When we first saw it, the land was completely grown up with trees, briars, and thick brush—but we could see its potential right away.

Little did we know just how breathtaking the views would be once we began working the land. We invested in equipment and carefully cleared just enough to open up the view from the cabin, all while intentionally leaving as many trees as possible to preserve the natural beauty and peaceful setting.

As we developed the property—building the roads and shaping it into what you see today—we truly began to realize how special this place was. That’s when we decided it was too beautiful not to share.

Now, we love welcoming others to experience the views, the quiet, and the sense of escape that we felt the very first time we saw its potential. Sharing this place with our guests has become one of the most rewarding parts of our journey.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Once you arrive, you immediately feel a sense of peace and serenity, surrounded by the natural beauty of the land. The property is rich with wildlife. It’s common to see deer, squirrels, and turkeys moving through the area, and even eagles soaring overhead—there is an active nest right on the property. Being this close to nature is something truly special.

And then there are the views. Especially in the evenings, the scenery is breathtaking—calm, expansive, and deeply peaceful. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe deeper, and forget the stresses of everyday life. Many guests tell us it’s hard to leave once they’ve experienced it.

This property isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to escape, reconnect, and truly relax. This is why our property is so unique.
