Nestled on a peaceful 1-acre lot in Franklin, North Carolina, Almost Heaven is a rustic-chic mountain cabin designed for comfort, connection, and an easy escape from the everyday. With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a sofa bed, the cabin comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests. One bedroom also features a private entrance, offering additional privacy for couples, extended family, or friends traveling together.

Inside, you’ll find high ceilings, warm wood floors, a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, streaming-ready TVs, a washer and dryer, and year-round comfort with baseboard heat, A/C units, and ceiling fans.

Step outside and settle into the porch swing while taking in the mountain views. Keep an eye out for some of our favorite local visitors, including deer, wild turkeys, and colorful songbirds. For guests traveling by electric vehicle, a convenient Tesla charger is available onsite.

Parking is limited to a maximum of two (2) vehicles in the designated gravel parking area. RVs, campers, trailers, and oversized vehicles are not permitted on the property.

There is plenty to explore just beyond the cabin. Franklin offers scenic hiking trails and waterfalls, charming downtown shops and restaurants, live music, local breweries, family-friendly attractions, and cultural experiences, all within easy reach of your stay.

For the best rate, guests are encouraged to book Almost Heaven directly through Fairly. Once your reservation is confirmed, we’ll also provide additional guest resources to help you plan your visit, including helpful information about the cabin and surrounding area, local recommendations, activities, dining, attractions, and other details to make getting ready for your mountain getaway a little easier.

This cabin was in an easy to get to neighborhood. Lots of wildlife to watch and listen too.

We fell in love with this property time we arrived! The view!!!!! And the way the home is arranged reminded me of my grandparents home along with the perfect separate area for our military son who needed some down time of his own! The listing said two vehicles max, but when I asked if 3 could possibly fit, they got to work moving an old wood storage piece, cut the area and voila, 3 cars could fit! We had the best time visiting our daughter for WCU’s family weekend, even brought her dog with us! The only thing I’m sad about is that we had to leave! I would have loved to have spent more time here in the peaceful solitude!

Cabin was a fantastic getaway. Did have issues with the Wi-Fi. We hosted our local family for Thanksgiving yesterday accommodations were great and they had all the things that we needed. Host was very responsive. Will definitely stay here again when we’re back in Franklin. and need a place to stay. The wood-burning fireplace was a nice addition that we were not expecting. You got some firewood from a local store and made for a really nice evening with family.

We could not connect to internet reach out to connect person issues was not fix for stay . Toilet run all the time had to fuss with the flusher handle . Light under cabinets for kitchen sink had a very loud noise and could not use our keep on. Would not recommend this property and would not stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that parts of your stay were frustrating — we truly want every guest to feel comfortable and cared for. Regarding the Wi-Fi, we were not aware there was an issue during your stay and only learned about the outage after your review was posted. At that time, we confirmed with Frontier that the entire area was in the middle of a transition from DSL to fiber, which included our cabin, and they were not servicing DSL outages during that conversion period. The fiber installation was completed on 12/4/2025, and the Wi-Fi now works better than ever. While we could not have fixed the outage on-site during your visit, if we had known you were experiencing a problem at the time, we absolutely would have worked with you to lessen the inconvenience or come to an arrangement that felt fair. The toilet handle and the under-cabinet light are small maintenance items that we would have addressed right away. However, we did not receive any messages or calls about these issues, and our caretaker and customer service team have no record of contact during your stay. We truly wish we had known so we could have made your visit smoother. Given this, a 2-star rating still feels disheartening, because we genuinely want to make things right whenever possible and are always willing to respond when guests reach out. This cabin has been in my family for more than 35 years. It’s our home away from home, and we love sharing it with guests so they can enjoy the space as much as we do. It’s always hard to hear when someone leaves feeling disappointed, and I sincerely hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future. We’d love the opportunity to provide a much better experience.
