Street noise is an issue, especially through the night. Centrally located to everything we were doing...never had to drive more than ten minutes. Kitchen could use more amenities...we planned to host a turkey meal with all the fixings but ended up having to cook at my daughter's instead. Great amount of space. We did host a great games night around the large table.

This was my home before life took me elsewhere, so I still have a real connection to the property and want guests to enjoy it the way I did. I’ve always believed a great stay should feel comfortable, easy, and genuinely livable, not like you’re just passing through someone else’s rental.

I travel often myself, so I know how much the small things matter when you’re away from home. A comfortable bed, a good workspace, a kitchen you can actually use, enough room to spread out, and a host who responds when you need something. My goal is to make the home feel welcoming whether you’re visiting for a weekend, relocating, working in the area, or staying for several months.

I loved the character of this part of Gastonia. The neighborhood has the charm of an established historic area, with beautiful older homes and a more residential feel, while still being convenient to downtown, restaurants, shopping, CaroMont Regional Medical Center, I-85, and the greater Charlotte area.

It gave me the balance I wanted: enough space and privacy to actually feel at home, without feeling disconnected from everything around me. It’s especially convenient for guests who are staying longer and want a real neighborhood rather than a hotel corridor or apartment complex.

The biggest difference is that this was designed and lived in as a real home, not converted into a bare-bones vacation rental.
Guests have three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a dedicated home office, private workout space, full kitchen, laundry, comfortable living areas, and plenty of room to settle in. The home works just as well for a family as it does for professionals, relocations, insurance stays, or guests who need somewhere comfortable for a month or longer.

I especially wanted to preserve the character of the home while adding the things that make an extended stay easier. You can work comfortably, cook real meals, exercise at home, relax outside, and have enough separation that everyone isn’t living on top of each other.

It’s the kind of property where you can unpack your bags and actually live for a while, which is exactly what I wanted it to be.
