My husband and I love to travel, and have always dreamed of living in a ski town, with a ski in, ski out residence as a "hope" that it wasn't out of our reach. We've been skiing together since we started dating in high school, most often at Steven's Pass in WA or at Mt. Bachelor, Oregon. Both my husband and I are graduates from the University of Washington.
When we finally decided it was time to sell our first house that we'd purchased in the early 90's and had rented for over 20 years in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle, we looked to Montana as an option to buy. We searched Big Sky, Sun Valley, Driggs, Jackson, Utah, Bend couldn't resist the pull of Whitefish. We love the town, the people, and our new home. Though I'm not ready to retire yet (we still live in the Mill Creek area in the Pacific Northwest in the home where we raised our two adult children - our graduated from SPU and has a great job, our youngest is a Sr. at WSU), we are looking forward to the day when we can call Whitefish our full time residence. In the meantime, we would love to share it with you. (We also own a cabin in Ronald, WA, steps from Lake Cle Elum, a mile or so from Suncadia. We built this cabin when our kids were young - the best thing we ever did - this cabin has kept us close, just as our traditional vacations keep us coming back together - and now, our whitefish home we expect will do the same. We invite you to create your own traditions here. The location, and the home, are so lovely. The people, our neighbors and the locals, are incredibly warm and inviting. We keep pinching ourselves - we are so fortunate to have found this home. We look forward to spending snowy winters on the slopes, warm and sunny summers enjoying Whitefish lake, and crisp spring and fall seasons here hiking in Glacier National Park.
