Going to Grandma's 1950's Cabin for Family Fun!

Thanks so much for the review. My goal is to get the property to be like a visit to grandma's in the 50's at the time of Route 66. There wasn't a mention of anything educational or historic…such as the beautiful quilts and antiques in every room, the authentic record player you could play by winding it up, the old pump organ from a silent movie house you can play, and a real accordion, old games and toys for children in the Narnia closet, classic books from the time period and a typewriter that can be used that is not electric and even a rod and reel from the 50's We are in the process of taking new photos....the large yard and beautiful view only .7 miles from the river. It is not everyone’s cup of tea thank goodness!

Thanks so much for coming. We are trying to create the experience of going fishing in the time period of the 1940's through the 1960's with decor and books and magazines of that era. Yes, the faux leather couch is that time period. Musical instruments from the time period including a record player you need to wind up that really works and more. We spent the last two weeks working on it to make it more educational and fun. I have some gifted high school students helping me. We have a Narnia closet full of vintage games, etc. Our goal is to have it get better and better and thanks for your patience. Our construction person is working hard as well. So if you are a fan of the Route 66 era, this is for you. The river is down the hill and the view is lovely!
