Welcome to the Poolside Hideaway Basement Suite — a cozy two-bedroom retreat in our newly renovated 1930s heritage home. ✨ The suite is fully self-contained, offering privacy while we live upstairs, with lived-in touches that add warmth and authenticity. ⚠️ Please note that the ceilings are about 6 feet high, so the space may not be ideal for taller guests, and as with many heritage homes, the hardwood floors upstairs sometimes creak.
You’ll find a stocked kitchen 🍳 with cookware, condiments, and pantry staples, plus extras like towels, toothbrushes, and a big-screen smart TV 🖥️. Sleeping arrangements 🛏️ include two queen bedrooms, a sofa bed, and an extra mattress, comfortably hosting up to 7 guests.
Step right out to the pool area 🏊♀️🌸 for the highlight of your stay.
For convenience, shared laundry 🧺 is located in the mudroom entryway.

Hillside Mall, only a few blocks away, makes shopping and dining a breeze, with options like Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, and local favourites like McRae’s close by. The area is also bike-friendly, with designated cycling routes for easy and eco-friendly travel. Whether you're here to explore or simply relax, everything you need is within easy reach.
Other Things to Note:
Some ceilings in the suite are under 6 feet, so you may occasionally hear sound from upstairs. The washer and dryer are located beneath the main patio deck near the entrance to the lower suite, so you might see other guests using them from time to time. Laundry pods and fabric softener are provided for your convenience.
The BBQ is shared — please ensure it’s cleaned and kept dry after use to help prevent rusting. Any food scraps should be disposed of in the drip tray or in the compost bin on the deck.
The pool is self-cleaning, but we kindly ask that you tidy up any excessive mess after use to help keep it enjoyable for everyone.
