We had the best memories made at this amazing cabin! It was so clean and the views are breathtaking- we were in awe and every morning we wake up above the clouds. It truly was like a “walk in the clouds”, more like morning coffee, hot tubbing, fire pit, and s’more making in the clouds! It was well stocked and love all the little baskets with more items so thoughtful placed in all the bathrooms. Star gazing here was awesome as well! Great cabin and great hosts who were so responsive to all my questions. We had the best time there and we hope to be back for sure!

Wow, thanks so much, Angali!!! 🤭 what a nice review! Honestly, "coffee and s'mores in the clouds" is the best way I’ve ever heard anyone describe staying here. I’m so glad you noticed the bathroom baskets - we always worry people won't use them, so that makes me happy! You guys were awesome guests. Definitely come back next time you need a stargazing fix!

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and it was absolutely incredible. The view from every room was honestly breathtaking. We spent our nights by the fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub, and ended up playing pool downstairs for hours. The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The host was amazing, super responsive and even offered extra amenities in case we forgot anything. We already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this mountain retreat!

My wife, dog, and I stayed here for a week. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. The drive up the side of the mountain wasn’t that bad at all (stayed in low gear in my pickup truck the entire trip up — make sure to read the signs). The house is well equipped. The bathrooms have some small toiletry items in case you forgot something, which we did!Plenty of books, board games, music options, activities for everyone in the house. We really enjoyed the cool evenings around the fire pit. The hot tub felt great after long hikes on trails nearby. Waking up to the clouds filling the valley below left us in awe. The views from the back patio were mesmerizing. Plenty of food places and things to do in town/surrounding area. If you’re looking to escape from reality and relax to the fullest, this is the place! Thank you for having us!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We are so glad that you, your wife, and your pup had such a relaxing escape. Hearing that you were able to unwind by the fire pit, enjoy the hot tub after hiking, and catch those magical morning views of the clouds filling the valley makes our day. That view is truly one of our favorite things about the property, too. 🤭 Good call on utilizing low gear for the mountain drive, too. We really appreciate you mentioning that for future guests. You all are welcome back anytime you need another break from reality. Safe travels until next time! Also those photos are AMAZING! Steph

This home is the perfect mountain retreat, complete with incredible views like I haven't experienced before! It's at the top of the mountain so we chose not to make too many trips to and from town. The house is clean, organized, and stocked with anything we could need - toiletries, kitchen items, and games/activities. We had our three kids and my parents there for a trip to Polar Express, and the home provided the perfect amount of space. The host was easy to communicate with and even provided a packet of helpful info about the house and recommendations of things to do and places to visit. It was very well-thought out, and much appreciated! I'd definitely recommend Sunset Peaks to others! :)

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review, we really appreciate it. :) We’re glad the home worked well for your whole group and that you had a great trip for the Polar Express. It’s one of our favorite experiences in the area, especially with family. The views up there really do make it feel like a true getaway, so we completely understand settling in and enjoying the mountain instead of heading back and forth. Happy to hear the house was well stocked and that the guidebook was helpful, we put a lot of thought into making things as easy and enjoyable as possible for guests. We’d love to host you and your family again anytime!! :) Steph

The place was wonderful. Beautiful and well kept interior and exterior. The views off the backporch was something magical for the family and I. Sunsets were something you did not want to miss. Clean space. Clean Bathrooms. We liked the decor. The space and seating was suited for my four person family. Game room downstairs was great and it led straight to the ground patio, firepit, and jacuzzi. Essentially private location with trees surrounding the property. Only one neighboring home and it was by no means inteferring with views or experience. We went in March so the leaves were not on the trees. And we missed the snow. We can only imagine how nice it will be during the summer and fall. The drive and climb to the cabin was fine. Starts off paved then transitions to compacted gravel. If you come from flat lands, then you'll need to get acclimated to slopes. That said, we were driving a 4 door Honda Accord hybrid and it managed just fine. If you've never driven gravel roads with switchbacks, just take your time and take the turns wide enough to see where you're going. There were signs saying it too! From the main road, it was more paved then gravel. To summarize, we loved the place and would definitely go back.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed review. It really means a lot that you took the time to share your experience. We’re glad the views and sunsets stood out, they’re one of our favorite parts of the property too and never get old. It’s great to hear the space, layout, and game room worked well for your family, and that you were able to enjoy both the indoor areas and the patio, fire pit, and hot tub setup. We also appreciate you calling out the drive. You described it perfectly, and that context is really helpful for future guests who may not be used to mountain roads. You picked a great time to visit, even without leaves or snow. Each season feels completely different up here, so hopefully you’ll get to experience it again in the summer or fall when everything is full and vibrant. We would absolutely love to host you again anytime!! :) Steph

This house was AMAZING! We used to live in Bryson City and have stayed in many, many rentals since moving away 12 years ago. This house is in the top 3 of places we have ever stayed (anywhere). The view is out of this world. The house was so clean and was supplied with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed everything it had to offer. Stephanie was an amazing host and was always available if we had any questions. Thank you for the memorable vacation. We will be back!

We take a lot of pride in keeping the house spotless and fully stocked, so I'm glad you had everything you needed to just relax and enjoy that view. :) It was so nice hosting you, you are welcome back anytime! Hiking, journaling, and photography are my favorite ways to slow down and notice the beauty around me. While traveling lights me up, I find that same spark in a cozy coffee shop or small-town bakery.

Now back in Virginia's wine country, I love chasing sunsets when possible - the kind that remind you that no matter where you are, their simple beauty connects us all. I look forward to welcoming guests and sharing the same light during your stay.
