Great location and overall stay

The property is simple, clean and has everything you need. The only down part was wifi connection. Overall the stay was great. We definetly be back here.

Relaxing Family Getaway

The property is well kept, the only problem was the WI-FI as it kept going in/out at the property. The area has some activities for a mini-getaway. Our kids enjoyed the pool even though the water was very cold. Overall it was a nice weekend getaway.

Restful getaway

This property was very nice, only thing was needed more pots and pans for cooking. Other than that, we made a fire with duralog and just had a peaceful and relaxing way of bringing in the new year. Would definetly come back!

Nice place

The weather for our trip didn’t cooperate so we didn’t get to experience much at Shawnee. However, everything was as advertised. We had some great dinners and made the most of the rainy weekend.

Loving our family time

We had a wonderful couple of days . Due to the Covid situation much was closed and the pool was too crowded to get to in our time frames but that was noones fault .. just the present situation. We still had a great time and the condo was very nice and comfortable !

Stay in Poconos

Nice restful week. Property was clean and comfortable. It is really dated but well cared for and nice amenities and service. I did call about dishwasher that didn't work and received very prompt response though dishwasher still not fixed. I wasn't bothered though as really enjoyed the stay. Nice getaway!

Weekend getaway

I found the unit listed on vrbo. It was a holiday weekend and I was happy to get such a good price. The listing said if have my own condo. No way, right? Way. This was a full featured 2 bedroom condo with kitchen, dining room, living room, screened patio. Master bedroom has queen bed and a full bathroom. The other bedroom has 2 queen beds. And outside in the hallway was another full bathroom with shower. Everything worked perfectly. Condos were set back in the woods with a peaceful view and clean air. The activity center has a pool and a hot tub and sauna. Mini golf for $8. Game room, ping pong, Great location for visiting various sites. Ten minutes to a huge Walmart with full grocery store. Perfect combination of privacy, unplugging, and access to modern convenience.

New what to expect

Smooth process from start to finish. We’ve stayed at this location before . Love the poconos and love the Shawnee properties. My only requests would be that the properties were updated at some point and the fireplaces were accessible. After a long day in the snow it would be nice to be able to start a fire and warm up. Other then that my family and I always enjoy staying at these locations.

Beautiful Location...great amenities

Loved the area! The condo had everything we would need. The amenities were fantastic! Only problem was with the checkin process. Long line and our condo wasn’t ready until 5:40 pm even though check in was at 4 pm.

Great location, nice facility, nice condo although tired, needs thorough cleaning and maintenance

Our initial impression of the property was good, as we had a good online interaction with the owner, found the place, and checked in without trouble. One hiccough is that we did not get the condo that we saw online - we were in Ridge Top 80 rather than down by the river. As we drove through the complex, we saw garbage overflowing from many of the outdoor bins, which animals had gotten into - not a good look. We called about this, and the management addressed it immediately. The condo was laid out well and equipped well, but we found that it really needed a thorough cleaning. We found drips on the walls coming from the ventilation system, stains on presumably clean sheets, stains and burns in the carpet, cracked kitchen counters, hair clippings (!) on the screened-in porch, large cobwebs, and ants in the kitchen (we kept our food in the fridge). The knives and cookware were in good shape. Handy, nice washer and dryer, and we were happy to have the welcome pack of kitchen towels, laundry soap and dishwasher soap. The facility was nice, and we enjoyed the pool, tennis courts, and mini-golf. There was confusion about whether we were permitted to use the facilities at the Shawnee Inn. Our concierge said we could use anything but the pool, but when we drove down to check it out, the security guard at the front gate said the two facilities were separate and we were not permitted. So we enjoyed our time there, but we don't plan to go back unless we hear that the interiors have been updated and the cleaning has been improved.
