The Space
The Main House features two spacious queen-size bedrooms, generous indoor living areas, and a wide shaded veranda overlooking the garden.
The layout is intentionally open and airy, designed for natural ventilation rather than sealed, air-conditioned living. Large windows and sliding doors combined with full-size breathable mosquito blinds allow constant airflow while keeping insects out.
Simply open the house to the breeze — the climate does the rest.

The Main House features a fully walled, partially open-air bathroom that combines privacy with a close connection to nature.

Aliya Watunu Hena is not an investment project for us but rather a long-term commitment. We spend several months each year in Sri Lanka, constantly improving the property and building relationships with local people in Unakuruwa and Tangalle.
By profession, I come from a business background in Europe, but here our focus is different: creating calm, privacy, and a truly authentic island experience for guests who don’t want mass tourism. We value quality, transparency, and clear communication.
We enjoy helping guests discover the “real” Sri Lanka — quiet beaches, local food, scenic motorcycle routes, hidden viewpoints, and trusted local services. At the same time, we respect privacy completely. You can be as independent as you like.
Our goal is simple: when you leave, you feel better than when you arrived.
