Charming 2-bedroom house in tranquil Stover Missouri. Pet friendly

Your Stover getaway awaits at this 2-bedroom house with queen beds, 2 bathrooms with showers, and additional spaces like a cozy living room with a sleeping sofa and a child size lounge. The totally remolded building served Stover as a blacksmith shop, a newspaper office and now a comfortable guest house. I had the personal experience of having a knee replacement and traveling was so difficult to find a total step free house. This is a step free house from the entry to the walk in showers, great for limited mobility guests. We are not fully ADA certified but folks traveling with limited mobility will be comfortable and safe. All kitchen cabinets are counter top level. A walker could be used to position at the built in shower seat with relative ease. An air purification device is available and used to limit dust/dander and allergens. Located near the Exciting Lake of the Ozarks, local wineries, brewers and numerous day trips. Street parking available in the front and on the side of the building which allows for easy pull up and exit circling the block. Those traveling to the loop with trailers should find parking easy and well lit.

This is a wonderful space, and pet-friendly! I'm a sucker for juxtaposing contemporary interiors with historic buildings, and this is definitely a cool space that showcases that approach.Super clean, generous kitchen and cozy living room. I used only one "side" of the home, but both bedrooms and bathrooms are well-appointed with serene color schemes. My mattress was comfortable, and the showers are beautiful and functional. Nice green space behind the house for exercising pets, and a park with good walking paths just a few blocks away.

You are an amazing traveler. You took in stride a serious storm in our area, no electricity and trees on the ground everywhere. We do hope you return someday to enjoy good Missouri weather.

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Blacksmith Shop while preparing for our daughter's wedding. The property is full of history and charm, yet it has been beautifully renovated into a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The two-bedroom, two-bath layout was perfect for our needs, and the large, comfortable couch gave us plenty of space to relax after long days of wedding preparations. We especially appreciated having a washer and dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, and individual air conditioning units in each room so everyone could set their own comfort level. The home had everything we needed, was clean and well maintained, and made a busy, memorable week so much easier. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, comfortable place to stay.

We were very pleased to be a small part of your family celebration. The building does have history and if it continues to serve as a place of new memories and comfortable stays we couldn’t be more grateful. Come back any time.

I grew up on a farm in this area and when I retired from teaching I wanted to do something to share the variety of things that make the area special.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Stover has the best to offer of small town Missouri. It is located in a rural area but within easy access to the Lake of the Ozarks, off road adventures, a beautiful speedway and coming soon the Rock Island bike trail which will join Katy Trail across Missouri. There are two very active wineries and one local brew house in the immediate area with several more a short drive away. Located midway between two of Missouri largest cities it is an easy drive to many varied activities and events.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Our building has served Stover for many years. The first pictures we have were of the building used as an active blacksmith shop. It’s next chapter of its life was the area newspaper office. It was a business office for a short time but two years ago we changed the chapter of this book to serve families and visitors to an area we are proud to share with guests to mid Missouri.
