This is a very nice home. Beds are great. Kitchen has everything you need, and garage is very adequate for one car. Lots of turkey and deer in the area that come waling right by the back porch. This rental is highly recommended.

Beautiful location, easy access to Custer state park. It was very nice having a garage stall tossed with direct access to the unit with no steps to climb. Large bedrooms and bathroom off master.

The property was very nice, clean, and located close to the center of town. We had 3 adults and 2 children and were able to make sleeping accommodations that worked out well for our stay. We spent most of our time touring the area, but enjoyed the property when we were there.

Literally the best place to stay in Custer! One of the best parts was the view from the front porch. It was so clean and perfectly appointed with anything you would need. We made ourselves at home right away. We definitely will stay again our next time in Custer.

We very much enjoyed staying at this home during our family vacation to the Black Hills. The home was in a great location and we could easily get everywhere we wanted to go. The home was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen that we utilize to make meals after a long day of seeing the sites. My two kids really enjoyed sitting on the covered porch while my husband and I prepped dinner. We also very much appreciated having a spot in the garage for our car, as several storms came through during our visit. The hosts were great at communicating and I could tell that they care a lot about giving guests a great experience. We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to the black hills.

Great Stay!

Great location for exploring the area. Condo was extremely clean and had everything needed for a great stay. Host made the check-in extremely easy. I would definitely recommend this property!

Great place to stay

Location is very convenient to Custer and Custer State Park. Rental was very clean and we were more than grateful for the air conditioning! We’ll be back to stay here again.

We are a family from Nebraska that built this home in 2007 in Custer because we love the Black Hills and wanted to spend more time there. My wife has taught for 30 plus years as a Resource Teacher in the local high school and I have a company called Hotwoods that we manufacture pontoon boats and docks along with many other related items. We have 2 beautiful Daughters, One Son in law and 2 wonderful Grand children, A very special foreign exchange student, we call our Son, and our dog Mia. and we are very involved with our work and family, but always find time to enjoy the Beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.

This property has everything you need to enjoy your stay in the Black Hills. We completely furnished it with the best things we could find. This makes it very comfortable while staying here. Leather couches, Big screen cable tv, Very comfortable bedding along with all the things to make a kitchen a kitchen. Keep in mind we set this up for our family and now we are offering it to you to enjoy. The location is very close to everything you will want to do while in the Black Hills. It is located 51 miles from Sturgis, SD. The mountain countryside style neighborhood is not only very safe, it is very quiet for those porch setting days and evenings. In minutes you can be at Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse or any location in the Custer state park. It also has many excellent fishing lakes very close. Hiking and biking trails less than 200 yards from the front door. Deer and turkeys along with fox will be seen regularly all around the property as well as many different species of birds.
Shopping does not get any better than Rapid City located 45 miles away via the most scenic drive in the mountains, along with attractions like Bear Mountain and Reptile Gardens. These are places where you can really get up close and personal with wild bear, elk, wolf, and every type of reptile known to man.
Then there is the Badlands of South Dakota. Located about 90 miles to the east of our home, you will not believe what you will see there, as it looks just like the moon surface. This is a great area to hike and see wildlife like mountain goats, along with many large birds or prey.
Right down the road a few miles from the Badlands is Wall, SD, where you will find Wall Drug, that has been a vacation hot spot for visitors for over 100 years.

This home has no steps. It is all new so you do not have to worry about problems while staying. It has an attached garage that allows you to use 1 stall while you stay. A remote for the garage door is provided. It can be found on the sun visor of the jeep in the garage. Our care takers are very close, if there ever would be an issue with something. You will have complete access to everything you need while you stay. You can always contact myself ( Kevin ) or my wife Karen on our cell phones if you need to for any reason.
