Welcome to The Wild and Wonderful – your perfect home base for exploring the legendary Hatfield-McCoy Trails!

This spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom trail house is designed with ATV riders and outdoor adventurers in mind. With a total of 6 comfortable beds (4 queens and 2 fulls), it easily accommodates groups, families, or riding buddies looking for a convenient and relaxing stay.

Inside, you’ll enjoy a fully stocked kitchen where you can cook hearty meals after a day on the trails, plus a cozy living area with a pool table for evening fun.

Step outside to unwind by the fire pit, the perfect spot for swapping stories under the stars.

Parking is large enough to accommodate around three pull trailers and trucks.

Best of all, you’ll have direct access to Hatfield-McCoy Trail 59, located right behind the house, and you’re just 1 mile from the town of Matewan for restaurants, supplies, and history.

Loved this property and will stay again. Spacious house with great ac and no issues with hot water even with 5 people. TVs in every room, awesome front porch and a big blackstone to cook out with. We had three trucks with 18 foot trailers and had just enough room to park everything in the drive but any more rigs wouldn’t fit most likely. Trailhead just a small ride up the road also. Gas and food within a few minutes of the house and we even were able to get grocery delivery to the house while there. Perfect for our off-road trip

Communication with the host was superb from booking to check out and even afterward. Our party of 6 were all impressed from the moment we stepped in. The front covered deck with table seating, a grill outside and even a firepit with chairs were are charming additions. But the house itself was very clean with modern conveniences throughout. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen area was quite adequate including the stocked cupboards of dishes, pans, utensils, etc. Lots of room to park outside as well.There was also a nice pool table for those who enjoy the game. We came to ride the H&M trails which were only about a 1/2 mile away, super convenient! Gas and groceries were fairly close as well. All in all, it was a brief but excellent stay! Extra kudos to the host! - There was one couple in our party who left something behind - when we called about it, they tracked it down and kindly shipped it to us.... above and beyond service! So grateful :)

Everything we needed while we were there was provided. The host is very easy going and easy to talk to. Our group stayed to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails which we had easy access to from this house. If the time comes, we will 100 percent be staying again.

Definitely recommend staying at The Wild and Wondeful! Our host was in contact the entire time and very accommodating. The house was extremely clean, beds were super comfy, and everything we needed was there. We loved the deck that led straight to the utility/laundry area. No muddy clothes in the house. The front deck was covered which was great since we had some rain/snow. We used the firepit area each night! The Blackstone grill was awesome for all our meals! We were extremely close to the trails. No trailering! Gas/groceries/restaurants/car wash were a short ATV drive. The Kentucky state line was only a few miles away. We enjoyed the proximity to different trail heads and attractions! Parking was ideal for 2 trucks and full length trailers. We will definitely be back! Love this clean, neat and comfy home! Oh.. TVs in every bedroom was great! The wifi worked perfect as well.
