This property is the epitome of proximity in Midtown Manhattan. 10-minute walk to Central Park, 10-minute walk to Times Square, 10-minute walk to Rockefeller Plaza, 10-minute walk to the Theater District, 10-minute walk to 5th Avenue...you get the idea. If you're in NYC to hang out in Midtown, this is your home base. The building wears an older charm, and has an elevator. The doorman (Sean) is awesome! The apartment itself is a good size for NYC- high ceilings, oversized living area. Two of the bedrooms are roomy as well, and one is sized for sleeping only. Master bath is nice and has extra room. The secondary bath, while quite small, serves the purpose. The beds are comfy, and they range from just right to firm. Communication with the owner was flawless and all my questions were answered right away. On the 4th floor in a transitioning area, the space is subject to street-level noise, but it's Midtown and to be expected (a white-noise machine at night can help). Many restaurants and shops (market, convenience, souvenirs) are across the street or very nearby. Overall, a lovely place to stay for our few days in the city.
