Less than five miles from downtown Fernandina Beach, Amelia South Condominiums is a choice Atlantic destination near top-tier golf courses, spas, and awe-inspiring nature trails. Sip fresh coffee while you watch the sun crest over the Atlantic on your private balcony, then head to the surf for an invigorating morning swim.

Relaxation comes easy in a sun-soaked living room with Atlantic views. Settle in on the stylish living room set and watch your favorite shows on the 42” TV. Ample countertop space makes meal preparation simple in the inviting kitchen, and a stainless steel French-door fridge has plenty of room for all your groceries. Share special meals at a glass-top table in the open-concept dining area when it's time to eat.

Sleep soundly in a window-lined primary bedroom featuring a 40” TV, access to the Atlantic-view balcony, and en suite bathroom. You'll find a Roku TV in one of the guest bedrooms.

Girls weekend

Location was great and beach was amazing. Outstanding view. Unit is very tired and needs an update. Bedrooms all had TV which was great. Our front door would not lock internally or externally so that was a safety concern for 4 women.

Disastrous

We have stayed at this location for years with no issues. This is the first year we stayed in this unit & had vacassa as a manager. To start, the condos sliding glass door to the patio was broken & did not have a handle. It took Vacassa two days to bring a temporary fix. The curtains & Rod in the living room were broken. The carpets have rolls in them as it is coming up from the foundation. The dishes that were put away in the kitchen were not clean, the cups had sand caked onto them. We have always gotten two keys to access the beach/pool. They now only provide one key for a 3bedroom unit. Vacassa was very difficult to communicate with. When Vacassa came to the unit, they started talking about the owner of the unit & how an old lady in her 90’s owns the unit & doesn’t see any problems with it. The second night there, the power went out for 6 hours & we had to evacuate the unit as the fire alarms in the entire building were going off & firedepartment showed up. The building only had one working elevator which made wait times long! Our last night was Friday 7/22. We went to dinner & came home to an awful smell that was not coming from any of our personal things or the trash. We ended up leaving a night early due to the awful smell. Hopefully after reading this, you realize this is not the rental you want! Proceed with caution

Great location

The location couldn’t be better - great view of the beach and easy access to both the beach and the pool. Although the unit hasn’t been updated, it is clean, comfortable, and spacious.

Wake up in the 80’s.

The beach view was awesome. The condo is very tired looking. The overall condition needs updating. Even down to the dishes that have to be at least 30 years old. Silverware was all mismatched. Furniture was stained. Just a little high priced compared to others.

Love the location, we’ve stayed at Amelia South for three years in a row now and also other years in the past. This particular unit could use some remodeling and updates, but overall we were at the beach so what more could you ask for!

Girls trip 2022

The property is the perfect location. However, it is in need of updating. Ceiling tiles ready to fall. Tubs are rusted. It is a good size and can fit 6 people easy - but not enough towels for even one shower each.

Management support

There were a couple of issues. There was only one key fob with access to the pool and gate to the beach. This was extremely inconvenient because not everybody went to the pool or the beach at the same time. I called management to see if another key fob could be made available and after a couple of tries they got back to me and said that they could not provide more than one. When they finally did call me after three days and told me that they could not provide another key fob I asked them to send somebody to fix the handles on the sliding door as they were coming off and very loose. They said that they would send someone to fix them. They never did.I would never return to that unit or any unit in that complex.

Excellent condo!

Very pleased with this condo. Very clean and view of the ocean is amazing! Plenty of room for two couples and a toddler. The balcony is a nice size and the bed in the master was very comfortable. Assigned parking is close and towels and linens were provided. Didn’t use the kitchen except to make coffee, but everything seemed to be in good working order. There are a variety of restaurants within a short driving distance. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
