If I could give this listing a zero I would, I was contacted by the host two days before the check in and was told I was being moved to a different location because of unforeseen circumstances. I looked at the new listing and NO it wasn’t going to work for our group, I requested a refund owner told me it was a mistake, and the house would be ready when we got there. On our day of arrival owner ghosted me all day would not answer messages, wouldn’t answer the phone the first time I called. She finally answered at 4:18 (check in time was 4:00) she said “what time is it” she said I’ll send you the access code now. I drove to the location still no access code. Got to the house cleaners had the driveway blocked, so we had to park in front of the neighbors house, neighbors kept watching us like we were doing something wrong. We did see the cleaners come out of the house and dust out a rug, there was a lot of trash that came off, soon after the cleaners left so that tells me the house was not cleaned properly for my stay. The neighborhood is very unsatisfactory, very unsafe feeling. The front porch brick on the side was crumbling. If you look at the listing there is no pictures of the outside of the house and for good reason because it is in a awful part of town. I contacted VRBO and told them the situation and wanted a refund. They are going to see what they can do on their end. I doubt I will get my money back. But please stay far away from this listing.

An early check in was requested due to time of wedding activities. Ours was the last place to be cleaned for the housekeeper. She arrived just before the regular check-in time and did not leave until nearly an hour after that check-in time. Dishes in dishwasher were dirty. There was no dishwashing soup and very little Dawn for handwashng dishes. There were no trash bags. Toilet paper almost gone in both bathrooms and only 1 extra roll. Response from mgr. was mostly the automatic "Hope you are settled in..." None dealing with the issues. We had to buy toilet paper, paper towel, dishwashing pods, Dawn, handwashing soaps, trash bags. Basically no supplies. Luckily we all brought bath soap and shampoo. We were finally offered a late check out to compensate but we did not need that. We were late for the Saturday wedding activities. We were leaving town so did not need time at the end of our stay. I finally got a reply that we were given a 40 refund. An apology would have been nice to have. The house itself is very nice. But there is no place in rooms to hang clothes. Front bedroom on right faces the street and has blinds that don't really fully close. No curtains so hung trash bags over the window to feel secure. Middle bedroom on left side of house has no ceiling light...only a colored party light. We moved a lamp from another bedroom to have decent light. Don't expect to use back yard. It is trashy.

It’s especially concerning that this occurred during a wedding stay where timing and comfort were important. I completely understand how frustrating and disruptive that must have been. We also apologize for the missed expectations with communication. A generic response without directly addressing your concerns was not appropriate, and I understand why that felt dismissive. You deserved a prompt and meaningful resolution. We are actively reviewing the housekeeping turnover process to ensure inventory is fully stocked before guest arrivals, especially early check-in requests. This includes confirming essentials like trash bags, toilet paper, dishwashing supplies, and bathroom items are properly replenished. We are also addressing the maintenance concerns you mentioned, including window coverings, lighting in the bedroom, and the condition of the backyard so these are corrected immediately. Regarding the refund, I understand your point that an apology and resolution matter just as much as compensation, and I’m sorry that wasn’t communicated clearly at the time. The refund was issued as an initial step, but more importantly, your feedback is helping us correct these gaps so future guests do not have the same experience. Thank you again for your honesty and for still recognizing the quality of the home itself. We regret that your stay was impacted, and we appreciate the opportunity to improve.

Positives: There was plenty of space and all 6 of us got to have our own rooms which was very nice! It had a cute coffee station in the kitchen and a couple snacks. The home was pretty simple, yet comfortable. More than enough towels and washclothes were provided, plus some shower soaps in case any of us forgot to bring them. Exterior doors were secure with 2 locking mechanisms. The ac/heat worked very well and the kitchen had all the amenities that anyone could need! Plus there were 2 adorable and sweet kitties that met us outside. Negatives: The home had a smell of pet urine throughout, although, most rooms had an air purifier running, which definitely made it more manageable. Countertops were sticky.There was no wifi so none of the tv's worked. No information on any checkout instructions, we just decided to leave the towels by the washing machines, the sheets on the bed, and took the trash out. The hall toilet had some issues with the tank filling, and I didnt recieve an answer from the host when I messaged them about it. I honestly would have left an average review but there were some major safety concerns with the lack of smoke detectors in the home. 3 of the bedrooms and the living room had no smoke detectors which is a very serious issue. "In Fort Worth, residential smoke detector requirements follow the 2021 International Fire Code and Texas Property Code, mandating alarms in every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area (hallway)..."

first of all the property was occupied when we arrived. the house was filthy. the host gave me a security code to get in, lied to us about the maid being at the washateria, then she wanted us to lie about the reason we were cancelling. Three of the bedrooms we downstairs and had dangerous steps with no handrails.
