Nestled at 7,200 feet directly inside the Sequoia National Forest, Ponderosa Cabin offers a secluded experience where adventure is literally in your backyard.

Important Logistics for a Great Stay:

Location Accuracy: Please note that while we are inside the Sequoia National Forest, the main gate to Sequoia National Park is about 2 hours away. You get the beauty without the crowds!

Winter Travel: Highway 190 often requires tire chains. We strongly recommend trip insurance for winter bookings.

Safety First: To keep the fun going, a digital release of liability is required after booking due to the zipline and treehouse.

I have rented this cabin several times for our employees working in the high Sierra. EVERY time I've booked, the host has been very helpful and accommodating. The communication is outstanding. The pet friendly policy is a plus. The grounds have many things to do for the entire family. The cabin is kept clean and everything is always in good working order. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Our employees have stayed at this cabin many times and have had no problems. They feel comfortable and the host is wonderful to work with. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get away. There is plenty to do for all family members.

We’re a family of four living in Orange County, California, with our two boys and our dog. Like many families, we balance full-time work with busy schedules, which makes our time away together especially meaningful.
We’ve always loved getting away to the mountains, but we know it can sometimes be a challenge to keep kids entertained. That’s why we were so excited to find this home—it’s a place where kids can truly have fun and be adventurous. From exploring the treehouse to spending hours on the zipline, there’s plenty to keep them happily busy.
For us, it’s the perfect balance: the kids stay active and entertained while we get to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We’re excited to share this special place with you and hope it brings your family as much joy as it has brought ours.

We chose this neighborhood because we truly love the beauty of the sequoia trees and nearby national parks, but prefer to enjoy them away from the crowds and traffic. This area offers a more peaceful, secluded setting where you can really unwind and connect with nature.
There’s still plenty to see and do—from hiking and fishing to wading in nearby waterfalls—without the busy, crowded feel of more popular destinations. It’s also a wonderful spot for bird watching and stargazing, thanks to the quiet surroundings and clear night skies.
For us, it’s the perfect balance of natural beauty, outdoor adventure, and relaxation, and we’re excited to share that experience with our guests.

Behind the property, you’ll find areas for rock climbing, along with a treehouse and zipline that keep kids entertained for hours. There’s also an outdoor fire pit—perfect for relaxing evenings under the stars.
In the winter, the property transforms into a fun sledding spot with several hills for the kids, all without ever needing to leave.
Inside, the home is warm and cozy, designed to be a comfortable place to unwind after a day of adventure. We’ve intentionally made use of the entire property so guests of all ages can enjoy a memorable and unique experience.
