Beautiful Home

Out of the Blue is a gorgeous home with plenty of luxurious amenities, including the view, rooms, hot tub & pool. 8 adults spent 7 night comfortably. The check in & check out process was super easy!

Out of the Blue

We had a wonderful stay at Out of the Blue. The views are breathtaking and the villa was perfect for our family of 7. The layout allows for great time together and the grandkids loved the pool. All the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. It definitely lived up to our expectations.

Amazing location

The villa is nicely appointed and the location is unparalleled. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset views - we ended each day with the hot tub. Henry, the property manager, was incredibly responsive. We enjoyed our week very much.

Beautiful house with gorgeous view. Well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed pool & hot tub and sitting on the expansive deck. Large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Would definitely stay here again!

Stunning views

We loved our stay! The property is 15 minutes from gorgeous beaches and Cruz Bay. The home is nestled high above Rendezvous Bay providing amazing sunrises and lovely evenings. The bedroom suites were all perfect. Henry provided great customer service! The home is located among steep hills so a 4WD is necessary. Our stay was perfect. We’d stay again!

Wonderful house and view

Beautiful view, just as advertised. House was perfect for our needs and we would love to rent it again. The location was excellent, the bedrooms and living areas both inside and out were very comfortable. Kitchen fully equipped; water & beach items were also available. Overall, we give it 5 stars. Just raised the bar for us!

Staying here made us truly appreciate luxury. The views were outstanding, the home was well apportioned, and the layout of the house was perfect for three adult couples. Henry was very helpful and accommodating. He answered all our questions.

Amazing Vacation on St John at Out of the Blue

The house is amazing...better than the pictures! We had 6 adults. We all had our own space. All areas are air conditioned and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub are amazing. You can't imagine the view. You have to see it to believe it. Dennis got us all settled in and we never had any issues. He gave a great overview of the house and how to navigate St. John. One of our best vacations ever for sure. We used Low Key watersports for diving and a BVI charter. Absolutely an amazing trip all the way around. Diving was great and the house is very conveniently located near Cruz Bay! Lots of great restaurants in the area. You'll need a car for the freedom to visit the many pristine beaches in the area. Out of the Blue is a definitely family favorite!!

Special week/special celebration

We had a great week at ‘Out of the Blue’. Everything is as depicted on the website. Beautiful home that is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. My son proposed to his now fiance and it couldn’t have been in a more beautiful spot. Nearness to town was just about 15 min away but once you’re at the house it’s totally private. Highly recommend

spectacular view

The view was the main attraction. We were very pleased with our time at this property. By far the best views on the island. The location was perfect because you felt removed from the crowds and the hustle & bustle of Cruz Bay but you were only a 15 min drive when you wanted to go into town. The drive is NOT for the faint of heart but worth the winding roads and hills to get to the spectacular views. The decor in the home is somewhat dated and the showers more times than not were cold, but those two items would be the only drawbacks to this property. Would stay there again for sure.

Amazing Property

This home is exceptional. The layout is perfect for a larger group giving everyone ample space while also having great areas for everyone to be together and not feeling on top of each other. The sunsets/sunrises were some of the best times of the day. The pool and hot tub were a hit with our 4 kids as well. The home was beyond what we expected; after spending the days at the beach we looked forward to getting back to the house to soak it all in. Location is close to town as well. We hope to come visit again and will definitely try to book a stay here again. This home has it all!

beautiful place

Beautiful home, clean, amazing view. Kitchen is pretty well stocked with cooking supplies. Beds were comfortable. No blinds on windows, we were told they were supposed to come in but did not show up on the boat. This is not a house for people who want privacy from each other, lots of uncovered windows looking into rooms including bathrooms, will be better when blinds come in. Overall very nice and would rent again.

Out Of The Blue - Wonderful Week Overlooking Rendevous Bay

Our family of six had a marvelous time at Out Of The Blue!! The villa was spacious, light filled, well designed and located high above the neighboring properties. It was truly a private oasis for us during our stay on St. John. With its southern exposure, the views of Rendezvous Bay are outstanding. The large swimming pool and hot tub were used every day. We prepared most of our meals in a kitchen that had everything we needed and ate our meals on the covered terrace overlooking the bay. Absolutely divine! Henry Hinkel, our property manager, was very attentive and when the coffee maker decided to quit, soon delivered a new one to us on a Saturday!

Beautiful, Well-Appointed Villa with Magnificent View

I have rented half a dozen villas in St. John for our family vacation over the past 4 years and this home is our favorite by far! Bedrooms are well decorated and spacious, kitchen and bathrooms are all modern and very clean. The pool and outdoor dining/living area is fantastic and the views among the best on the island. The property sits high up and so there is a pleasant breeze most days. This is been a private residence and only recently added to the rental market and the property reflects this. Excellent attention to detail and very well proportioned. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxurious and private home away from home!! An added benefit: the Management Company servicing the Villa is highly responsive and helpful!!

Remarkable Views - Beautiful Villa

This was our first visit to St. John and it certainly won't be our last! The villa was extremely well stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The bedrooms are spacious and the outdoor showers a bonus. We most enjoyed the outdoor dining/sitting area by the pool with the surround sound system and the weather was perfect every evening. Big thanks to Henry, Rebecca and Larissa with the management company. They made sure our stay went smoothly. The villa is not rented very often so there were just a few things that could be improved but minor issues (hot tub temperature, many bugs and spiders). We will definitely stay here again as the views from every room are out of this world. We cooked a lot in the spacious kitchen that had every utensil and cooking item needed. The ice machine and wine cooler were also an added bonus. Loved loved loved Out of the Blue. We highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning.

A group of 8 at this new location

The view is outstanding. Not sure there are many better locations if you want to wake up and have the ocean at the tip of your nose. It is on a hill, so if you are looking for a beachfront location, this isn't it, but we weren't and the two couples who were experiencing St. John for their first time were certainly impressed as were the others on this trip. This is the 6th trip for me and the finest accommodations I've ever stayed in. The property has all the amenities we required. The property manager was very helpful and on-site in minutes when needed. The hot tub was not running as hot as we liked due to part supply issues and we would have loved to have outdoor speakers for the stereo. Aside from that, there are no complaints and I could see renting this location again. The location is close enough to Cruz to have quick and easy access to all shops, bars, and dining. The kitchen was well appointed and the grill worked very well also.

Nice but could use improvements

This was our third visit to STJ and I would rank this house at bottom of the three houses we have rented. This house has the potential to be an amazing house. The layout of the house was great, the views were amazing, landscaping was nice, the location was good, the salt water pool was very nice and the hot tub had great views. However, at booking the advertisement read that the house has air conditioning and a hot tub which was a little misleading. The AC was only in the bedrooms which didn’t extend to the bathrooms and the living room, kitchen and dining room did not have AC and was very warm. We found ourselves watching TV, reading, etc in our bedrooms because these rooms were so warm. There are fans through out the house but not effective in the living room. Next, when a hot tub is advertised you would expect to be able to use a fully functional hot tub and the jets and or air bubbles were not working. As for the bedrooms, there were only blinds or curtains at the entrance, all other windows or doors didn’t have either so there is sunlight in the rooms from sunrise. The management company owner (Henry) was nice but did not go out of his way in regards to customer service. We asked if he could pick up a online grocery order in which we were denied then we asked if he would meet us at the grocery store to pick up online order and asked if he had any room in his vehicle for a few groceries and he was hesitant. Overall, We gave this house four stars, if the items described were added/fixed we could have easily given this property a higher rating.

Thank you for your review! We wanted to address your comments: - The villa does have air conditioning, and so we had that information listed on VRBO. Based on your points here, we have further clarified the VRBO listing to note that air conditioning is available in the bedrooms, but that the common areas of the villa such as kitchen and living room have no A/C. - We have updated the verbiage in our listing to read that the villa has a hot tub only, not a spa - We always hear incredible things about Henry, as he generally goes above and beyond for Out of the Blue guests. He was in touch 30 days prior to your arrival to offer assistance, provisioning services and check in about your arrival and needs, followed up again a few weeks later, and did not hear back until 3 days prior. You requested assistance with picking up your third-party provisioning the night before, but Henry’s provisioning crew was already booked that day. He does his best to accommodate all guests, but can only be as responsive as the communication and notice he receives. - We will look into more window coverings. Our guests usually love all the Caribbean sunlight they can soak up, but we understand your concern here. Thank you so much for you review, and stay at Out of the Blue.
