Agua Viva House - Classic Cottage on Webb Cove

Agua Viva House is a darling cottage that sits atop a hill with an elevated view of Webbs Cove in Stonington Maine. Watch the tides come and go from this scenic and sweet home. A large yard, a covered deck from the master bedroom and a sea view deck on the first floor make Agua Viva a lovely retreat.

Agua Viva (which in portuguese means Live Water) is a two bedroom, one and two half bathroom house with an open concept floor plan on the first floor. Guests enter Agua Viva from the parking area. There is an entry hallway with a coat closet and a bench to remove shoes. There is a large, well equipped kitchen with a chef style gas range, dishwasher and a full size refrigerator. The kitchen has a snack bar in between the kitchen and living room area which has a full size couch, chair and full size television with cable programming. The living area also has a full size dining table with seats for four. Finishing off the first floor is a half bathroom, which also houses the door out to the first floor deck. The master suite bedroom at Agua Viva House is on the second floor. The bedroom has a walk in closet, king bed, ocean view balcony with two comfortable seats in which to enjoy the view and a full bathroom with a shower and bathtub combo.
There is an additional bedroom on the second floor that could be considered two seperate sleeping areas, one space has one twin bed, the other space has an additional two twin beds with direct access to the outside porch with stairs.


Agua Viva House has a lush green yard, with many comfortable seating options to enjoy the view including a fire pit surrounded by adirondack chairs.
Importantly the home does have a boat launch available for guests. It will make launching kayaks, canoes, sailboats, or motor boats convenient.

As a guest at The Agua Viva House, you have the option to join Captain Carter (homeowner), where he can take you on his lobster boat to witness a trap being hauled and the process of filtering keepers from non keepers and show a glimpse of the life of a local lobsterman.

Fantastic view and comfortable stay for a family!

We loved our stay at Aqua Viva with 3 adults and 2 kids and dogs. The inside is spacious enough and comfortable with nice updated appliances - plenty of seating for both eating and also relaxing. Loved having multiple outdoor decks to use at different times in the day to either enjoy or avoid the sun depending. The property was beautiful outside and we thoroughly enjoyed the yard as well as the coastline and the fire pit. The owners being next door was a delightful touch - we ran into them several times and are incredibly sweet people. The agency was great to deal with both before and during our stay for anything we needed. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful and Relaxing!

I stayed at Agua Viva House for a week and loved every minute of it! The property is serene, beautiful and very quiet. Watching the cove for hours and seeing the wildlife was the best part! I watched 2 bald eagles catching fish right out of the water. The house is very quaint and charming. The bed was SO comfortable, I had the best sleep for the entire week. I can't wait to come back and already planning a trip for next year!

Such a relaxing vacation

We recently stayed at the Aqua Viva house in Stonington. The location is just amazing overlooking Webb Cove. We saw Bald Eagles and Ospreys everyday. The house is very well equipped with a great kitchen and beautiful master bedroom. You can literally walk to the owners seafood market nearby and buy fresh caught lobsters. Stonington is such a quiet and peaceful location with great small beaches that we enjoyed with our dog. Also, the mail boat ride to Isle au Haut is a must trip. Our 2 weeks went by fast and we will be back. The owner of the property was so nice. Could not do enough! We highly recommend the Aqua Viva house!

Lovely stay at the Agua Viva cottage overlooking Webb Cove.

Our party of 3 adults spent an enjoyable week in this comfortable and spacious home overlooking Webb Cove in Stonington. The house is clean and well organized. The cottage has an open plan living area that’s adjacent to the kitchen. There is a large island with stools for a a light meal or meal prep, as well as a table that can seat 4 comfortably. There is a deck off of the kitchen with a larger table and chairs that has a nice view of the pretty cove. The upstairs has a large primary bedroom with king bed and large deck with comfy chairs and water views. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with tub/shower. The adjacent bedrooms have twin beds with a half bath and access to another, smaller deck. The agents handling the rental were quick to respond and very helpful. The cottage is on a quiet private road a few miles from the charming town of Stonington. I should mention that while it didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of the rental, the area up the road from the cottage appears to be used for discarded restaurant items from the nearby restaurant and fish store, etc.

Peaceful spot with a lovely view.

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and pleasantly decorated. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the deck off the master bedroom with its stunning view of the Cove and cooking on the impressive stove in the kitchen. The friendly hosts own a fish store down hill from the property so If one wants to buy fish it is very convenient. We had a lovely restful week there.

The Island Agency has been in business since 2011, offering Real Estate and Rental services on the Blue Hill Peninsula, specializing in Deer Isle and Stonington Properties.

HOUSE RULES
NO SMOKING
No large parties or gatherings
No fire pits unless advertised and included

CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants.
I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibly of claims.
