Lovely house

We enjoyed in a group of 10 friends our stay at this lovely house located in a peaceful region. The garden and large poolarea are beautiful, the kitchen is well equipped, the rooms are unique and well-spaced. The owners set great value on detail. We couldn't have wished for more. The house offers tabletennis, a field for boule, bicycles, TVs, two refrigerators, a washing machine and many more things for your comfort. Moreover the host Antonia answered every question very friendly and quickly. We recommend the house strongly!

Wonderful Family Holiday Home

A wonderfully spacious holiday home. Lovely and clean. The support we got from the owners was fantastic and the check in process was very easy. The pool area was lovely, the pool is deep very quickly, No shallow area for small ones but it worked well for us. Lots of open garden for the kids and views of the friendly cows. The kitchens were very well equipped and had everything we needed, lots of options for places to eat in the house with a big crowd. The rooms were all spacious and comfortable. The weather wasn’t amazing for our week so we spent a bit of time out of the house looking for villages and towns to explore and there didn’t seem to be many in close proximity but we found a few interesting places. Overall probably the nicest house we have stayed in in France over the years.

Pool, Plums and Plancha!

On arrival we were amazed to find the house and gardens were so much more than we had expected. It certainly had the 'Wow' effect when we looked around it for the first time. We soon settled in and a week went by far too quickly. Most of our time was spent enjoying the lovely pool and gardens, picking delicious ripe plums from the trees, cooking evening meals on the Plancha and eating outside at the large table. We made use of the bikes, the various games and all that the house offered. The owners have thought of everything which gives the house a very comfortable feel. We all visited the Grotte de Villars and Brantome which made a very enjoyable outing. We would certainly recommend the house to friends.

A large countryside gem

What a beautiful property Antonia has. The farmhouse is situated on a gorgeous plot - hours were spent poolside, fruit picking, eating, playing board games (about 25 to choose from!), ping pong, boules, laughing and creating a wealth of family memories. Due to COVID unfortunately our friends were unable to join, but you could easily fit 12+ people. It’s definitely a property that is meant to be shared in a large group. The property is remote, but if you are up for peace and quiet then it’s perfect. You can access quaint villages within 20 minutes and St Emilion in just over an hour. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Grandpa, this is a dream house says my 12 year old granddaughter the moment we entered the property.

We had a 8 person family event in the property during the last week of school holidays. As the title explains my granddaughter loved it. Endless days in the pool, playing and lazying around. It was very warm, 34C even, so we alternated hours outside with hours inside the house, which is surprisingly cool. There is mention of airconditioning on the website, but it are actually overhead fans and floorstand fans. The house is extensively equipped with everything, from the kitchen to pool toys and other kids toys for the garden. We had a lovely time, thank you Antonia for pre stay guidance.

Beautiful relaxing stay

The beautifully renovated property is in a great location if you're looking for a quiet stay, the grounds are stunning and the large patio and pool are great additions. The owners supplied everything we could have needed, garden and board games, kitchen equipment and basic cooking ingredients. Hair driers, blankets, even a first aid kit. This all made our stay even more comfortable. The house is very spacious, even with 12 of us staying, it wasn't crowded, there are enough communal spaces for everyone to gather together or branch off if wanted. The owners were very responsive before, during and after our stay with our questions and requests for recommendations. The only slight negative we found, which is in no way a reflection of the owners. The flies, wasps and hornets were a nuisance during our stay in mid August The addition of some wasps traps would have been great. Obviously their presence can not be helped by the owners.

An amazing family holiday home

3 families, a party of 11 (6 adults & 5 children) spent a fabulous week in this stunning holiday home. We rented both buildings & the property has everything you could wish for: fantastic kitchen (which had every kitchen essential families could need inc pots, pans, serving trays, mugs, glasses, knives, forks etc.); 3 lovely reception rooms to chill out in (a snug, a TV room (where the kids tended to ‘hang out’ when they weren’t in the pool) & a hall in the barn-wing of the property that could host a royal banquet!); 6 bedrooms that were all of a generous size & had plenty of storage places & easily enough bathrooms/ WCs. Outside has plenty of car parking (we only had 3 cars but could easily fit 2 or 3) & amazing garden with beautiful flowers, plants and trees dotted all around. The owners have thought of many activities to do & kindly provided equipment. The garden had enough room to play rounders/cricket/football as well as the petanque (boules) area. You will find you have spectators, during whichever event you choose to play, as the cows in the neighbouring field watch on! There are bikes provided & a table tennis table situated near the large patio. The patio itself has a large gas BBQ & a large table easily able to accommodate all 11 of us for our group meals. A must-visit is the local boulangerie in Dignac (with freshly baked all kinds of breads & pastries). Dignac also has a small shop & Pharmacy. A little further away, but only about a 15 minute trip, is Villebois-Lavalette which has a large Super-U (with fuel-pumps) & large Pharmacy. Villebois-Lavalette also has a stunning Chateau on the hill and a quaint church nearby (well worth a visit) The star of the show though is the swimming pool, we enjoyed excellent weather & the pool provided entertainment & relaxation in equal measure for young & old alike! With the diving board providing the main source of entertainment for 7 days! Again the owners provided numerous items such as balls, inflatables & goggles to be used in the pool & were much appreciated The owners were extremely helpful from booking to arrival & I want to particularly thank Antonia for all her help during the past 12 months in making this a holiday to remember. 11 people (who had by-and-large known one another for 15 years) arrived at this stunning home on the 17th Aug‘19 all as close friends but left on the 24th Aug’19 as one big family. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We hope to return soon.

Absolument ravis des vacances que nous avons passé dans ce lieu idyllique ! On ressent tout de suite toute la volonté des hôtes de faire de cet endroit une parathese enchantée. Beaucoup de charme, on s’y sent bien ! La petite cerise sur le gâteau, le terrain de pétanque avec la table en pierre sous l’arbre et en arrière plan, un paysage digne d’une carte postale ! Nous avons passé un agréable séjour entre amis. La maison est très grande, bien aménagé avec différents espaces ou l’on peut se reposer au calme. Nous étions 4 couples avec enfants. Beaucoup de jeux d’intérieurs et d’extérieurs sont prévus pour les enfants . La piscine est également très agréable avec un plongeoir pour la plus grande joie des enfants. Il y a un grand jardin très bien entretenu! Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Nous avons passé un super week-end dans cette grande maison où rien ne manquait. Nous y avons fêté le nouvel an. Très bon séjour à Beaulieu! La maison est très grande avec de nombreux espaces ! Elle est très bien équipée et est à proximité de commodités (10 min supermarché, 5min boulangerie). La piscine est bien protégé par des barrières, parfait pour les enfants en bas âge ! Nous reviendrons sûrement !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour qui nous a permis de profiter des premiers beaux jours. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine chauffée et jouer à la pétanque sur le terrain. La maison et l'extérieur ont beaucoup de cachet. La maison est très grande et permet à chacun d'avoir son espace. De plus elle est très bien équipée et il est très agréable d'y cuisiner. Seule petite remarque sur les lits/matelas que nous avons trouvé un peu mous :)

Tout simplement idyllique !

Nous avons réservé la maison pour un week-end prolongé entre amis/famille dont 5 enfants. Tout était parfait ! La maison est immense avec plusieurs salons et même si nous étions nombreux, jamais nous n'avons eu l'impression d'être à l'étroit. La maison est parfaitement meublée/équipée/ décorée ( famille d'artistes ?). L'environnement est superbe : aucun vis à vis, vue sur la campagne environnante. La terrasse, le jardin, la piscine : tous les extérieurs sont très bien entretenus. La piscine ( chauffée) a été un vrai plus car la météo a été très clémente et nous nous sommes baignés tous les jours. Nous sommes repartis enchantés avec pour seule idée en tête : relouer la maison l'année prochaine

Zomervakantie met vrienden

Met een groep van 8 volwassenen en 7 kinderen zijn we voor 14 dagen in het huis verbleven. Een ideale locatie voor zo'n gezelschap. Voldoende kamers, badkamers, binnen- en buitenruimtes om te verdelen / verblijven. Een zeer mooi authentiek huis en charmant ingericht. Voldoende eet- en kookgerei aanwezig. De foto's op de website tonen naar onze mening zelfs nog niet voldoende de prachtige ligging. Een immense tuin met zicht op een rustige glooiende koeien wei. In ons geval een klein nadeel was het gebrek aan schaduw op het terrein. Bij temperaturen van 35-40°C is dat essentieel. Wij waren daarom verplicht aan / rond het zwembad te blijven. Een petanque of kubb was daarom pas mogelijk in de late namiddag/avond. Maar misschien zijn zulke temperaturen abnormaal in die regio. Verder zijn de huiseigenaars gemakkelijk te contacteren via de website en voorzien je steeds van een duidelijk en vriendelijk antwoord!

We had a wonderful holiday with friends and family at this beautiful house. We were three families holidaying together and yet we still had lots of space to play and catch up. The garden is perfect for children to run around and play and the parents enjoyed a drink every evening in a different little area around the garden. The pool area is perfect for enjoying and afternoon altogether. The kitchen is well equipped and we ate outside at the big table for most meals. The house is clean and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here as it has everything you need for the perfect holiday.
