Just steps from the beach, this oceanfront condo at Shipwatch Villas at Wild Dunes features dazzling views of the Atlantic both inside and out. Enjoy your morning coffee with a view from the lovely furnished deck, follow the boardwalk to put your toes in the warm sand, or spend the day lounging by the community pool - the choice is yours!

What's nearby:
This gated community is located right on the ocean beach, offering an on-site swimming pool to cool you off after a day spent in the sun. Rent bikes from the local shop and explore the paths around Wild Dunes, or take a short drive into downtown Isle of Palms (four miles west) to find additional dining and shopping. The Grand Pavilion is also a mile down the road, where you can dine and shop. Or, take a day trip into historic Charleston (17 miles west) to immerse yourself in the city's rich culture and dine at some of the best restaurants in the country.

Inside of home was very dusty and dirty. We found nail clippings under the couch, hair in the bathroom, coffee pot was very dirty and baseboard through out home was filthy. The guest bathroom shower wasn't working properly nor the toilet. Recliner was broken, blinds was broken and air didn't cool the bedrooms very well. The beach was close by as well as the pool.

Great Place to Stay

Property was very clean, kitchen well stocked with dinner ware and wine glasses. Easy access to the beach. Highly recommend!

Nice condo

Condo was clean and comfortable. Great location, convenient to the beach. Check-in went smoothly. Couple of minor defects (loose doorknob on bathroom door, doorknob missing on closet door), nothing too bad. Only significant issue was the elevator in the building was out of service for half the week we were there. Not the fault of the condo owner, but it seemed that whoever manages the building was inattentive to the problem. It still wasn't working when we left. Otherwise we had a fine stay.

Wonderful long weekend

Group of friends who needed time at the beach. The weather, beach and condo was great. Plenty of room and short walk to beach.

Beautiful view from our room & family room of the ocean and sunrise. Condo could use updating, one more bedroom with a bigger bed would have been nice,, and a fridge with a water filter. Overall, everything thing was good, and we had a nice visit with family for Thanksgiving.

Last Minute Amazing Trip

My family and I were supposed to go to Florida and seen a hurricane coming and decided to switch to Charleston a day before leaving. We found this gem and it was perfect! Views of the ocean, short walk to the pool. Have to drive to shops and restaurants but its only 10 min down the road. Beds are a little squeaky and some reviews complained about dated furniture but it served its purpose. Would stay here again

Good quality unit

We liked our brief stay at Shipwatch condominium. Unfortunately the elevator malfunctioned and the rental agent for the property helped us out. The pictures of the unit are technically accurate. There is a mirrored wall in the living room which makes the unit look larger than it really is. Our view is that the unit sleeps 6 snuggly. i would be mindful of this.

Great location

Loved the location in this gated community. We felt safe and it was quiet. Close to the beach and we could leave our stuff to come back to the condo for lunch or a break from the sun.

All TV s not working. Had to call someone to come here to fix them .Also wrong entry code to get in.

Wrong Wi-Fi information and password .all else was great.

Very Nice

The condo was very nice. The only problem was the TV in the main room; lots of trouble getting the right channel with no standard channels available. It was impossible to get basketball tournament. Bedroom TV's were fine.

Our stay

The stay was great, the only issue we had was that it is advertised as there being a hot tub which is what we wanted the most. We were extremely disappointed that there wasn’t one. Please update the list going forward.

Need grab bars for showers

Very clean. Great location. Frustrated we couldn’t work TV adequately. No instructions. Big problem with one of our elderly guests falling getting out of shower with high step. Hit his head on shower frame and required 9 stitches at local hospital ER to close the gash. Almost ruined the whole vacation. Paramedics were good and hospital ER was Excellent. Need grab bars by showers. Dangerous.

Disgustingly dirty and moldy

Our vacation, the first one in 2 years, was ruined by the extremely dirty and moldy state of this property. The bathrooms looked as if they have not been cleaned in months, if not in years. There was mold everywhere, from the bathrooms to the air conditioning outlets. Towels and sheets had black nasty stains on them. The toilets were disgustingly dirty. Black mold was on all faucets and bathroom fixtures. I can’t believe how they rent this property in that state of unsafe uncleanliness. After a couple of hours of back and forth with an answering service in another state, the manager finally offered a full refund if we left the property immediately, which we did. Imagine trying to find a hotel at 10:30 pm after a long drive and being on the phone for hours to resolve the situation. We’re extremely disappointed, especially with VRBO that’s supposed to be Vacation Rental by OWNER, but after booking the place we were informed that a company named Vacasa is in charge and would send us the check-in information. False advertising. Very bad experience. Do NOT book this property at all.

Don't pass this Gem up.

The check in was smooth.. We arrived after hours so they arranged for us to pick up our packet with parking passes and pool codes at the check-in lock box, which made the process hassle free and smooth. The room was sparkling clean. I used to be a professional cleaner so I'm trained to spot things but I didn't notice any areas that needed improvement and BELIEVE ME I can always find something wrong LOL. SO I was SUPER IMPRESSED! The beds were sooo comfortable! The cleanliness of the condo, elevator, and outside area was very clean and well kept! The pools are NOT HEATED which was the only bummer however we still swam and enjoyed them. The pools were also well kept and clean. The private beach was AMAZING! NOT dirty and over populated with people! I felt like I was in a paradise with the beautiful oaks, spanish moss, flowers and plamettos scattered about the whole property! The security was top notch nobody was permitted without a pass. So that makes the Wild Dunes top notch! Literally drama and problem free! Back to the room, the shower in the master bedroom was AMAZING and the view of the garden and ocean from the living room and master bedroom were gorgeous! The management company kept us well informed about check in and various things to do through email! This side is very secluded and lowkey and I absolutely loved that! Don't pass this one up and take care of this lovely property if you do stay.😍🤩

Great stay at Isle of Palms Shipwatch 306A

Shipwatch is perfectly located just far enough off the main drag to minimize traffic but close enough to require only short drives to restaurants and shopping. The properties are a short walk to the huge beach of IOP. We had plenty of room to sleep our 6. There is room to sleep 8, and there are three full baths. We would stay here again.

Everything was great! It was such a nice last minute getaway. The only negatives were that the list I g says it sleeps 8. My husband and I have 4 children and we took my parents. I thought that one of the bedrooms had two double/queen beds in order to fit the 8 people. Once we arrived there we realized the sleeper sofa in the den counted as the bed for two adults. Not what we have chosen for a long weekend. When we moved the beds a little bit, to make room for an air mattress, it was pretty dusty under the beds. There was also zero space to store our food. No pantry or empty cabinet. Other than that everything was great!!
