New in our program, this home as many great reviews from past guests!

Enjoy effortless private beach access from this cozy cottage, with an oceanfront porch directly on the dune. Drink your morning coffee alfresco and watch the sun rise over the ocean. Step straight off the porch into the sand and take a leisurely stroll. Enjoy the shade of the porch while you watch dolphins jump and ospreys hunt for their lunch. Have an afternoon swim and pop back inside for a slice of watermelon and an ice-cold drink. Sharpen your surf fishing and shell spotting skills. The world is your oyster!

This original 1950s cottage was built when the island was first developed and is still owned by the same family. It features four bedrooms upstairs, a small bathroom with a shower, and an extra half bath. The huge dining table has room for meals as well as puzzles and board games. The washer are dryer are located in the garage on the ground floor. There is NO interior connection from the upper to lower level of the property. The laundry area is accessed by a set of exterior stairs.

NOTE: The house previously had a bedroom and bathroom available on the ground floor which is no longer accessible. Some reviews refer to this previously accessible area.

The house is conveniently located just one mile south of the bridge and town center. This is a relatively quiet stretch of beach, away from public beach accesses and busy rental houses.

It was a very quaint place to stay. Pictures were a bit deceiving - specifically for the second “bathroom/toilet”. Overall it was fine for a weekend getaway.

Please note that a $250 refund has been issued to your credit card on file, in response to the incorrect information provided about linen rentals. While a check had initially been requested, it may take 6–8 weeks to process due to a high volume of refunds. The credit card refund was issued instead to ensure a quicker resolution. Great Location

This home is dated but allowed us to bring our pups and the location is great! Not close to public beach access which allows for less crowding and stepping off the deck onto the beach is wonderful! With the sunrise and the waves crashing we'd definitely come back!

Oceanfront family and pet friendly cottage

We loved the retro cabin vibe and the expansive front covered ocean facing porch. Lots of birds and extensive dune shrubs and grasses. Lovely cozy, sturdy home.

Easy walk to the beach!

My family and our two older dogs had a great time here in this little old beach bungalow! It was five steps to get to the beach so it was so easy to take your stuff out there and run back in if you need to. Was great for our one dog who has leg issues.

Access to the beach was outstanding! Down the steps and you are at the water. Between public access so walk down and put your chairs right at the water. Even on the 4th of July.

Nice House, Great Location

Overall, we had a nice, good stay. The house being located right at the Dunes was a big plus. Stepping off the deck onto the Beach was Great, very convenient. The Kitchen was adequately furnished. The Furniture was comfortable and plenty of seating. The management responded quickly to our plumbing issue. I would recommend the House for vacation rental. It is not high-end but that's fine, it is priced very fairly. The Beds are comfortable as well.

Cute beach home with a beautiful beach front view. 😍 Very happy the kitchen was stocked with most everything we needed to cook through the week. Short distance from shops if you wanted to walk. Just be aware the master bed and bath are in the downstairs completely separate from the main house. No access except from outside. Not ideal if you are using it and traveling with young children.

This house has an ant problem in the kitchen and bathroom. Took over a day for maintenance to come out and spray. Ant problem persisted. Sent photos to Vacasa. Only response was "thanks." Ant problem never went away during entire trip.Furniture is outdated and worn. Flooring is dates. Only shower is rusting out. No kitchen counter top space to meal prep. Steps leading to the house are rotting and loose.Masterbed has no closed. Was "converted to 1/2 bath. Not really feasible to close door and use toilet.Positive - it is on the beach.

The living room furniture was updated last year and all furnishings, as well as the lack of a closet in the primary bedroom, are accurately represented in the listing photos. House was good. Loved bk porch w oceanfront Clean hm & porch!! Beautiful living room furniture!!! Update your website re nice furniture Problems: did not like shower head, can’t adjust , too dark!! Living room, half bath light out! Can’t open windows to hear, feel ocean breeze, ants in kitchen & increasing. For most part loved our stay & especially thank you for allowing us to bring our fur baby. Agency was slow on getting info to me ….had to calll agency& agency sent wrong door code x3.

Needs major updating

Can’t open windows because they would fall out. Ants infested our trash can in 1 night. The upstairs shower is tiny and leaks water very bad. The downstairs bathroom is bigger and nicer but in a terrible spot. The downstairs is in the garage. Has a terrible odor. Dead frog smooshed in the door jam. Blinds had never been dusted. If you can over look all that then you can stay here. The back porch was nice and it was 5 stairs to the sand. That was the only nice thing.

Great Location, But........

Great location directly on the beach. That was the best aspect of the property. But, and there's always a "but," the house seemed very outdated and disgustingly filthy. The interior and furnishings were old. Looks like no renovations have been done in years. We were so grateful that we were able to bring our dogs that week, but it appeared that the carpets had not been cleaned in ages. There were very many spots on all of the carpets, and we assumed they were from dogs peeing on them. It would probably be more sanitary to rip the carpets out and replace them with linoleum. There is no way that the house was cleaned before arrival. Me, my wife, and our guests spent nearly an hour cleaning the bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas. I know this is going to sound gross, but the 1/2 bath in the large bedroom looked as though someone took a huge bowel movement and feces was sprayed all around the toilet bowl. The other full bath's toilet was also appalling. My wife put on rubber gloves and cleaned the underside of the bowl with a rag, and it was completely black. In the living room behind one of the cabinets we found a dog toy along with crumbs, dirt, and dust that had been there for quite some time. I could go on in regard to other items that needed cleaning/attention, but it'd take too long. In VACASA's defense, they did reimburse me for the cleaning fee. It's just sad that you drive nearly 8 hours and come into a property that wasn't cleaned.
