Wonderful secret garden apartment! Bubba's place was a nice retreat surrounded (literally) by beautiful plants, trees, and plantings. Tucked away behind the main house, the aptly names treehouse is a rustic retreat from the busy city. SUPER soft bed and all the amenities needed. It was too hot to enjoy but the two balconies would be great in cooler weather. Thanks for a great retreat, Bubba!

The name says it all....a peaceful, unique property filled with rustic charm! Set in a beautiful garden, you really do feel like you are in a treehouse. It was a great location for everything we needed and wanted to do. Bubba is a great host, very helpful and responsive. Would stay again!

Tranquil Treehouse is in a great location near downtown Columbia. Easy to walk around beautiful neighborhoods and to shops and restaurants. The Treehouse is well appointed with a full kitchen and two TVs. The English Garden is beautiful. The host is very responsive to any requests.

A southern-style, quirky, fully equipped apartment surrounded by trees in a back garden. Located in an old picturesque South Carolina neighborhood of Columbia. Stay here for a taste of southern living. Do not stay here if you are looking for a bland sterile hotel room experience.

My husband and I typically use VRBO because we’ve always been able to rely on the property descriptions and prices. No surprises, and this trip was no exception.This was an in-town stay, as our house needed extensive electrical work, and the power would be off for 2 to 3 days, This necessitated relocating ourselves *and* the contents of our fridge.I reserved the Tranquil Treehouse primarily because of its location & description. The house lived up to everything that we expected. It is in the middle of a neighborhood, but standing on the back deck, you might feel as if you were in the middle of the woods. The house is covered in Confederate Jessamine, which makes the view out the windows very dappled. The backyard is almost a riot of hydrangeas, vines, and formal and informal plantings that connect three adjoining yards. The bird songs and crickets in the evenings made sitting on the back deck very serene. There is a lovely New Orleans style front porch where you can take in morning coffee.The Treehouse is well appointed, with a well-stocked kitchen, tons of towels, very soft bedding, and a decent sized living room with a small dining area off to the side. The full-sized fridge was critical to our trip, Mr. Cromer was promptly responsive to calls or texts. It was also nice to see and chat with him in mornings or evenings as he tended to his gardens, or prepared to do his outreach work.My husband and I felt very welcomed. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great location and host!

We had a great stay while moving our son out of USC. Location is in a great neighbor, close to stores and walkable to restaurants. Bubba is a great host. And the place is a gem hidden in a secret garden.

Nice stay in Shandon

We enjoyed the "Treehouse" in Shandon - Columbia, South Carolina. Bubba was very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely stay there again. It is the perfect place for a couple.

Will stay again!

I am always in search of the perfect place to stay in Columbia in close proximity to the stadium and university. This was perfectly located in town, easy to get to and very quiet for sleeping after a long football tailgate day! I will definitely recommend and stay again!

Close to it all in Cola!

Second time staying here. We did a long term rental for a few months and it couldn’t have been nicer. Wonderful neighborhood, super clean accommodations. Bubba, the host, is just great and will help with anything you may need during your time there.
