Great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This townhome is located in a great part of Surf City. It's easy to walk to so many restaurants and shops. The townhome itself was great. We enjoyed having a dog friendly, ocean front home with an elevator for our pup.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Weather was perfect. We love this location and have stayed in several of these homes. It is close to stores, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Altho the house is showing some age, it was very clean and had all the comforts of home

Can’t beat the location! Our family of 10fit comfortably, and the kids loved the pool. We all enjoyed being right on the beach.

This house was in a great location but be aware of the alcohol restrictions on the beach in this section, mainly due to the restaurants/bars adjacent to the house. Strict enforcement during high season. House itself was just ok, cleaning crew had it ready and surface clean, although hardwood floors were dirty and worn. Basically everything needs to be updated, beds, window treatments, floors, carpets, bathtub, stove, etc. Curtains were like bedsheets thrown on the doors and windows, which made it hot during the day. 5th bedroom wasn’t used because it was more like a closet on the ground level, no windows and no ventilation. Pool was very nice. Landmark rentals was very attentive and good to work with, however they do not control the condition of the house, the issues noted are responsibility of the owner. We had a great time but would not rent this house again.

I've never had a realtor group as the host. I had to call with questions and missing dish towels, didn't have a direct text in the VRBO app which is more convenient. The place was a premium price and we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the carpets and floors. There were multiple stains on the carpets throughout and the carpet was worn and ripped. The beds were not in the best shape, with foam tops and ill fitting sheets. First floor master suite should of had a king size instead of a queen. Pillows were awful. Better description would be useful regarding the type of coffee maker, whether beach chairs and boards are on-site. The dishwasher was disgusting with mold build-up and it took forever to run a cycle. Dishes in cabinets were dirty. There were not enough forks and spoons for 12 people so had to continually hand wash them. Stove was difficult to use since all the temp levels on the knobs are worn off. Place should provide enough garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels for the week. Porch deck furniture was not as nice as other units. A deck table on each deck would have been helpful. Sliding glass doors were extremely hard to slide. Ended up cleaning the door jams that were filthy. I usually give high marks for VRBO places we've stayed but this one needs work. Pool was the best thing and well used by everyone.

Landmark Vacation Rentals is identified as the host on the VRBO listing, and prior to arrival guests receive a text message with our contact information, check-in details, and home information. Our team is always available by phone or text should questions arise. Our pre-arrival information explains that we provide a starter supply of essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Guests are responsible for additional supplies needed during their stay. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. While our housekeeping team thoroughly cleans between stays, we do not inventory owner-provided items such as dishes, utensils, and cookware after every departure. Unless guests notify us of missing or damaged items, we are not aware of those issues. We appreciate you letting us know so they can be reviewed. The carpet wear and staining noted is consistent with normal use in a vacation rental, and we have discussed the condition with the homeowners. We have also shared your feedback regarding the dishwasher, sliding doors, and other maintenance items for review. Information about the coffee maker and home amenities is provided in the digital Guest Guide sent prior to arrival. Beach chairs, boards, and other beach equipment are not provided by the homeowners as detailed in the listing

Memories Made in the Sands and Surf

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time with family at the beach. This place was a nice place. We particularly enjoyed the pool. The house itself shows some signs of wear but nothing that is detrimental. The biggest issue we had was with mattresses. The king and queen mattresses on the second floor were not comfortable. Squeaky and hard. The property could have used a deep cleaning. It shows signs around the sinks etc of needing a deep clean. The rental of the chairs and tent left us without one of the extra stakes. They fixed it but only after an additional text about it. Overall would reccomend. If a hard or subpar mattress could effect your stay then avoid this place.

There is a NO OPEN CONTAINER ordinance on the beach between beach access 18-19. MY TURN is right in the middle. It make matter to your visit. The bottom floor bedroom has no ventilation. Super HOT! Bring your silverware, there may be 5 forks.
