Second Stay

Our group had a wonderful second stay at this house. The host is easy to communicate with and the layout of the house works very well for gathering as a whole group or smaller groups around the house. The house is clean, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking with an extra closet towards the mudroom, stocked with additional small appliances and such. The sports barn is wonderful and we enjoyed teaching our friends to play pickleball. We would love to rent this property again!

Great Property for Large Groups

Great property overall. Very clean and well maintained with a lot to do both on side and just within driving range. My party of nine had plenty of space to both congregate and decompress on their own. Loved having a large indoor gym space to enjoy.Highly recommended.

Home away from home.

We really enjoyed this home away from home. This will be our go to house in the future. More than enough space, activities on property and a really relaxing atmosphere. Owner very friendly and accommodating.

Amazing weekend!

I never do reviews, but being my entire family had such a wonderful time I had to write one. Reuben was a great host: pleasant, quick to respond and accommodating. The house and grounds are impeccably kept. In addition to the house being clean and well stocked, it is also laid out very well. There are great areas for gathering as a group, but enough places to go if you need some quiet time. All I can say about the barn is it was a blast! The entire group, ranging in age of 2-83, really enjoyed the long weekend and all the house had to offer. Thank you Reuben for sharing your beautiful home that felt as if we were at a resort.

Group of families ringing in the New Year

We have a group of families with young kids (all aged 5 and younger right now) who get together for New Year's Eve every year, and this property was perfect for our needs! There was loads of space for us to spread out, have separate areas for adults and kids if needed, get some quiet time when needed, and everyone had a comfortable sleeping space. The barn and pirate ship play set outside was enjoyed immensely by the kids, while the fire pit was used by the adults each night. The kitchen was big enough for us to cook all our meals without tripping over each other, and overall the house was very nicely suited to our needs. Reuben was responsive and incredibly generous and helpful as well! Would definitely recommend this home for large groups like ours!

Perfect Spot for a Petite Retreat!

The Manor House was ideal for our group of ten women looking to enjoy a long weekend together. Plenty of comfty space including a 10 person dining table, where we laughed and relaxed for joyful meals. The kitchen was super well equipped with everything you can imagine, including high end appliances and a very well stocked pantry. House is very well built and designed, with a basement two bedroom apartment that includes two very large, living areas, one where we met in the mornings for yoga. All the furnishings are great including a spacious living area with plenty of seating for our group, a private den for separate conversations and activities, and the grand piano sounded beautiful. The second floor has very well appointed bedrooms, all with super comfortable mattresses, and great bedding. The bathrooms are all contemporarized. The third floor attic is quite charming with a large dormer bedroom that holds a few of the owners things, but still makes for a comfortable space And the other two bedrooms have big dormer windows and a three-quarter wall. Atglen is a sleepy little town 45 minutes away from Lancaster, where we enjoyed a great day of browsing. The 60 acre property is linked by plenty of trail choices and the resident cat would often follow us on our walks. There is a well-behaved dog on property in a fenced in area, and the barn, although empty of horses gorgeous with a huge basketball court. Highly recommend! Thanks Reuben!

Amazing Stay in Atglen, PA

We stayed with our extended family to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. We were 18 people, ages 70 to under 1 year. The house and property is amazing! There were enough bedrooms for all our guests, and many common rooms for family members to hang out. The dining room was perfect for large family meals, and the living room and library were great areas for after dinner gatherings. There is a beautiful piano in the living room, and our granddaughters who play, enjoyed giving concerts. It was a very hot week when we were there, and our children and grandchildren spent a lot of time in the air conditioned barn. The barn is huge, equipped with 2 basketball courts and a volleyball court. The older kids held pick-up games, and younger cousins loved racing around the perimeter. The gardens are stunning. We hired a photographer to do a family photo shoot on the grounds. I can't say enough about the property manager, Reuben. He was the best! Before our stay, he was very responsive to all my questions. We had ordered food from a local caterer, but the food arrived when we were still an hour away. I called Reuben, and he sent his son over to receive the order for us. At some point, we were using the washing machine, and the supply hose burst. I called Reuben he came right over (it was evening), bought a new part, and came back to install it. He had the washing machine working in about an hour. It was the perfect location for our extended family to bond.

My husbands 60th Birthday

The Property is beautiful the house is stunning! The decor is lovely all of the lights have dimmer switches and Reuben has all the light switches labeled ( which is very nice because there are so many) there are no bedrooms on the ground floor so this is the only issue we had with my 91 year old mother in law. She was able to make it up the steps very slowly. The outside is very beautiful but again not friendly to elderly person with a walker. The piano in the living room was amazing we hired a professional player to play on it and she was impressed. The den was a big hit with the guys in our group they loved the brown leather recliners they were really nice. Reuben and his wife thought of everything,nice cozy throws in case you were chilly. The kitchen was a dream to cook in!Viking appliances ( high end ) gas appliances that work amazing. My niece that did the catering on Saturday used it for sautéing yellow squash and zucchini that she wanted to do last minute and was very impressed with how wonderful it was to cook on!! The kitchen was well stocked. Our group loved the bedrooms and bathrooms also very nice . Our bedroom was the master and it had a on suite spa bathroom!! The shower was incredible the bedroom was beautiful and the walk in closet was something I could only dream about! The Barn with the basketball court was half the reason I chose this place. We were not disappointed it was amazing ! Everyone also loved the cat “Piper” we had a wonderful time thanks 😘

5 PLUS STARS

The pictures don’t do this house justice!! It was beautiful, well maintained, clean and so comfortable. With 14 adults and 3 little ones, there was plenty of space, both inside and out. The grounds are gorgeous and 3 days was not enough time to explore all. Ruben stopped by to check in and make sure all was good. He was also available prior to check-in to answer our questions. My family and I had a wonderful time and are so grateful to Ruben for sharing his little piece of heaven. Will definitely be back!

Memorable memorial

My family was traveling in from all over the US for my sisters memorial. We choose this home because it was 20 minutes away from the memorial and could fit us all. Although it looked pretty in the pictures, we have done this before and have been very disappointed. Well this house did not disappoint in any way. It was beautifully appointed and had enough room for all of us to gather. It was warm and inviting, spotless, comfortable and just felt like home. The property is beautiful, the house is beautiful. We just wish we had more time there to enjoy a little more of it. Loved that there were some things left in the cabinets in case you forgot something. Beds were super comfortable. Host was great and very amiable. Would love to go back another time. If you are looking for a large accommodating home, this is it!!!

Wonderful getaway

We have stayed w family and kids friends. The gym was great, house was very comfortable, with good quality sheets, towels and a complete kitchen. I suggest owner to organize a bit the cabinets to clean up lots of left over seasonings etc from previous guests and buy some extra silverware to avoid having to clean all the time before dishwasher is done. But kitchen is super well stocked w all gadgets, pans etc. We had a wonderful weekend.

Great vacation home in quiet PA town

Went up here with a group of friends. We really enjoyed the house, having the basketball court in the barn was a ton of fun! Everything was great with the reservation process and the house was well maintained and equipped. It was great to be so secluded as well. Would totally look at this house for our weekend trip next year!

Great Family Reunion Location!

This is our 2nd time staying at this beautiful home with enough room for extended family coming from several different states to visit with family in Oxford PA. As you can see from the pictures there are not only beautiful bedrooms & bathrooms but plenty of space for cooking & gathering to relax & chat or enjoy someone playing the grand piano! Everyone enjoyed playing volleyball & basketball in the barn as well as taking a nice walk through the beautiful grounds. Reuben is very responsive to any issue & so pleasant to deal with, we look forward to coming back again!

Great time with plenty to do

The grounds with tennis, the gym in the barn and the patio with the little firepit made for such a fun, relaxing weekend with the option to lounge or be active if you want! We were very comfortable and ate, drank and were merry!

Family Trip for Sons Graduation

We rented the property so we could attend my sons graduation from F&M and then have the family celebrate all together after the ceremony. The house was clean, large enough to support 16 of us easily. The grounds were well kept and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen provided ample space for entertaining and and food service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
