Stargazing Cabin • Near Mesa Verde • WiFi • A/C

We live nearby in Dolores, Colorado, and enjoy everything that makes Southwest Colorado special—dark skies, open spaces, small-town communities, and easy access to outdoor adventure.

Whether we're camping, exploring back roads in our Jeep, or simply enjoying a quiet evening under the stars, we appreciate having a comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day. We hope Dove Creek Cabin can be that place for you as well, whether you're visiting family, attending a local event, exploring the Four Corners region, or just looking to slow down and enjoy life like a local Creeker.

Dove Creek is a small Western town with deep roots in farming, ranching, and the uranium mining history of the Colorado Plateau. Locals, known as "Creekers," take pride in the area's friendly community and slower pace of life.

The cabin is conveniently located near some of the Southwest's most remarkable destinations, including Hovenweep National Monument, the Dolores River, Mesa Verde National Park, and Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. A day trip to Moab is also within reach for those looking to explore Utah's famous red rock country.

While Dove Creek may be a small town, guests are often pleasantly surprised by the local restaurants, dark night skies, and the peaceful atmosphere that makes this corner of Southwest Colorado so special.

What makes Dove Creek Cabin unique is its location on the eastern edge of town, where the community gives way to open space and big Southwest Colorado skies. With very few nearby neighbors, guests can enjoy a level of privacy that is difficult to find while still being just 4 blocks from Main Street.

The property sits on approximately one acre and is surrounded by mature piñon and cedar trees, creating a peaceful setting for relaxing, stargazing, and enjoying the outdoors. When we purchased the property, our goal was to create a private oasis where guests could unwind, recharge, and experience the quiet beauty of Southwest Colorado.
