Guests enjoy access to most of the ranch, including scenic walking trails and a yoga deck overlooking the valley. Outdoor showers are available for stays of two nights or more, and BBQ areas can be arranged upon request. The ranch is completely off-grid, powered by solar and sustained by its own artesian well water first claimed in 1892. A 24-hour Camp Host is available on-site to assist with anything you need, and propane tent heaters can be rented for cooler evenings.
The journey here is part of the experience — After turning off CA-76, you’ll have about 6 scenic miles to go before reaching Harrison Serenity Ranch. The first mile of the road is paved, followed by approximately 5 miles of well-maintained gravel along Nate Harrison Grade Road. This road can be rough and single-lane in places, but it’s usually passable in a well-maintained passenger car. Please drive slowly, bring plenty of gas, and ensure your brakes are in good shape for the descent. You’ll know you’ve arrived at the entrance when, just before a sharp left switchback, you see a stone memorial to the ranch’s namesake, Nate Harrison, on the right side of the road, along with the Harrison Serenity Ranch sign., and rewards you with expansive views and a true sense of escape.
